What is the weather, temperature, rain, wind in a crossing in November, a balcony room. What clothes should I take? We are on a Oceania Cruise.

I apologize, I can’t tell you much about the weather, although I would believe you will encounter some rain & wind on a november crossing. To be prepared, bring a poncho (much more effective than umbrella on a cruise ship, and you can throw it over anything (plus they are light fold very small). Have a warm jacket (the wind adds chill) if you plan to do much outdoors.
The mainreason i am posting is to correct the other post. You will NOT have formal evenings. Oceania has a strict “country club casual” (or something similar) policy, so do not waste suitcase space with suits/tuxedos/gowns unless you really want to. I get most of my information about cruising from http://www.cruisecritic.com. If you go there, you will find much more specific answers from people have done such cruises.

Most everything you will wish to do in a Transatlantic crossing will be indoors. The view will be deep blue water, and sky, deep blue water and sky…
So, You’ll need the standard evening fare for fairly formal evenings. The rest of the time, shorts and casual wear. Comfort is number one, and since you are going to Miami, shorts will be the main need once you arrive.
Take a jacket for the initial start and possible cooler evenings, but once you get to Miami, you can probably ship that back…
