You just put that new bike back home and admiring you stand there, not only the look of it, but the sweet much as you about them as well, you notice that something was missing. You plan for the inclusion of an extensive two-week road trip in the next month, but there is not enough space on the bike that fit your needs, especially with clothing, food and equipment.
Now you are faced with a dilemma. You have already decided that the matching saddle bags and suitcases that will be available by the manufacturer (which you should have done if) you order the bike. However, it is too late to do it now, because they do not come in time for the road trip. They have decided to buy some used motorcycle luggage to time.
They would not care, they usually buy new equipment, but you are using it for the purchase in question. Whether you decided on hard or soft luggage, the purchase of the equipment is used a great way to save a few bucks and still be able to take off on this trip, the long-awaited just around the corner. To give so take some advice, here 5 tips to help you that purchase.
Tip # 1 – Learn about the different types of motorcycle luggage. Above all, motorcycle luggage is divided into two categories — hard and soft. Then there are the sub — saddlebags, tank bags and suitcases. These come in a variety of materials, but leather is always good to most.
Tip # 2 – no more than buying the luggage. Many new riders (and some have experienced) make the mistake of buying more motorcycle luggage, but what is necessary. Even if you are used to purchase luggage, this corresponds to even wasting your money. In addition, there is the question of overwhelming the wheel with more than what is needed, and this could be unstable in the bike through.
Tip # 3 – If you want to find second-hand motorcycle luggage is the first place to go shopping in a used motorcycle dealers. Makes sense to me. There are motorcycle parts shops that you can visit as well. In spite of these places, probably the easiest way to shop for used luggage is online, but there is no guarantee that the items will fit properly.
Tip # 4 – With the bike on this shopping spree. Common sense would say that this is to ensure the best way to make sure that what you buy fits properly and therefore any presumption that I feel like assumptions. And we all know the result if we assume things, right?
Tip # 5 – When the motorcycle luggage you want, give it a thorough inspection found. Four things to make sure of:
- All locks and lock properly (all zippers zip and stay zipped easily)
- If (it’s a lock or locks), make sure that the correct key (or keys)
- There are no cracks, cracks or seams in the material separated
- There are no problems with the clamps or clips close when it comes to the assembly, and to secure the luggage p>
