What accessories do I need for an Ipod Touch?

What accessories do I need? Screen protector, skin, case? Any specific brands or links to products you have and like? I would like to use it at the gym, while traveling and I might also want to use it with a docking device.

You’ve got plenty of options but choose the case carefully so that it protects your iPod from dust, fingerprints and also let you to access all the controls. heck out this Gamefacez silicone iPod case, you can get customized with of all types with graphics flaunting your favorite mascots, logos and/or trademarks of your favorite school, team, athlete or even your organization!

I suggest the only essential is a screen overlay protector (eBay) cases are optional but often get in the way!!

when you say Docking station you mean an Audio system or similar with a dock rather than an APPLE universal Dock I guess.

Some cheaper and older systems used an cheaper and outdated way or providing power to the ipod by using an unregulated 12V firewire signal rather than the supported 5V USB regulated signal. Firewire was removed from ipods in 2003/4 and the ability to use the power in 2005 so if you dock used the old (unapproved) power signal it will only work with ipods older than 2005.

BUY a newer system or one of better quality that says ‘made for ipod’ which means it uses the approved USB circuit and not a firewire based one! this affects old car systems and Gear4 and Acoustic Solutions equipment mainly.

This is an issue with the audio maker not following the build rules for docks rather than the ipods.

i have a case made by incase, my friend accidentally dropped it once and without the case it would have broke, it costed £20 ($27)

it might be expensive for a piece of plastic, but it’s worth it

(they are hard to get off though)
