Where can I watch the Red Sox playoff games in Australia?
I am going on my honeymoon to Hamilton Island, Brisbane, and Sydney and need bars to watch the Red Sox ALCS and World Series Games. Are there any good place to watch?
Don’t listen to these other posters — there are sports bars all over sydney area that will have one TV turned to baseball, or will happily turn one on because of the time of day you will be watching most of these games — 9am. We stumbled across a pub in Manly Beach (nice tourist town, which is 25 minute ferry ride from Sydney’s circular Quay — someplace you should visit anyway…) It’s called Ivanhoe and it had all of last week’s games on. We watched the end of Game 2 (Manny’s walk-off) with 4-5 other random Sox fans we stumbled upon in the pub and some Aussies trying to learn more about the game. It was a ball. Have fun & COngrats!
