How reliable is purchasing an air ticket, online, from Thai Airways?
I want to avoid paying money and not receiving my ticket. Has anyone made reservations and purchased tickets from Thai Airways’ website? How was your experience; did you receive your ticket(s) in a timely manner; any “hiccups” that I should be aware of during this process?
I look forward to all relevant and non-frivolous answers.
Thank you.
Khun Bob, Thanks for the reply. This is my first attempt at reserving/purchasing air tix from any airline – TG just happens to be the first for me. Researching other websites, I’ve learned not all issue “e-tix” but rather paper tickets, hence my query. I ran into a hiccup on the payment screen, claiming “. . . credit card can’t be processed for this transaction”. Also, only Visa and Mastercard is accepted, Amex is not an option.
Khawp.
Thanks everyone for your candid answers with great information. I just finished reserving and purchasing my tix on Thaiair. com and this time the CC info went thru with no problems. I have Reservation in hand and I received an email confirmation in my Yahoo inbox. I’m good to go. . . just need to find a place to stay – and have that first Singha. :-)
Again Thank you.
Enjoy your weekend!
I never had any problems when I booked the tickets from Thai Airways website. After you submit all of your information (included a payment method), you will get a confirmation email from them and e-tickets (less than 10 mins after you pay). You just print it out and show them at the airport on the day you travel.
In addition, you need to show them the credit card you use when you book the tickets and your goverment issued ID. I think it just their protocol to have an ID confirmation. Then, they will give you a paper ticket or a boarding pass and you’re good to go :-).
