Which hostel is best to stay in Chicago?
This spring I’ll be coming to Chicago for a week, and since my budget is tight I’ll stay in a hostel. Which hostel is the best to stay in? I’m looking for one with a good location to tourist sites and hopefully one where alcohol is not allowed. Any tips for having fun in Chicago would be appreciated. Thanks.
The best thing to do is to call and make a reservation ahead of time and you may be able to get a deal. I would not trust any real cheap hotels in Chicago. There is a Best Westin on Broadway near Irving Park. I stayed there during one of my visits to Chicago. I lived in Chicago for 21 years and worked in downtown Chicago. I recently relocated in 2006. This hotel is walking distance to the train, which will take you straight downtown. Normally that ride will take about 20 minutes from the Irving Park train station to the heart of downtown Chicago.
