Where can I get really good clip on earrings here in Abu Dhabi?

2

I’ve been living in Abu Dhabi for the past 8 years. I’m 13. I don’t have my ears pierced because my dad doesn’t like it. All the clip on earrings here are plastic and cheap looking. I used to get really nice gold ones when I was back in South Africa. Does anybody know where I can get nice clip on earrings here in Abu Dhabi?

Is Moorea worth the trip, or should I rather spend my money on Bora Bora or other Tahiti island. ?

With the expensive cost of going to Tahiti, would I be disappointed in what Moorea has to offer and felt it is mediocre? ShouldI just skip Moorea and go to Bora Bora?

Niagara Falls, the Falls & Victoria Park

0

The local native peoples called the enormous waterfalls “Niagara Falls’’ — because that’s what the tribes name was (Anglicised: Niagara) and they thus felt a spiritual connection to it. Even at the present day, personally myself, I feel the mightiness yet a peacefulness as well. Niagara Falls is known as the “Honeymoon Capital”. Whether you want to tie the knot or not, it is definitely a place you, your family, and friends can explore and should be put on the map as one of your travel destinations — even if it’s just once in your lifetime! Niagara Falls is consists of actually 3 waterfalls: Canadian horseshoe falls, the bridal veil falls, and the American Falls. It is the 3rd largest in the world; however, it is the combination of height and the volume of water that makes is the overall biggest and by far the most appealing and visited. An amazing 250,000 cubic feet of water goes over every 1 second (i. e. in the summer peak time; all other seasons will vary to a lower amount). The total height is approximately 167 ft. This is a geological marvel that we should not take for granted. This Brink of he Falls certainly is the best vantage point when it comes to seeing the actual Falls.

Victoria Park was named to honour Queen Victoria, 1892, the reigning monarch of Great Britain. The park is really a large, spread out floral garden and well-maintained pedestrian walkways. It stretches from the bottoms of Murray Hill to Clifton Hill along the Niagara Parkway. From there you can see the wonderful Falls and the massive mist cloud which forms due to the evaporation effect. If you are lucky enough, on a bright clear day, you may even catch a rainbow! The illumination of the falls takes place nightly year round. As a thrilling bonus, Fridays, Sundays (and holidays), a huge fireworks display occurs. Both events are complimentary. This is one of the most admired parks in all of Canada. In other words, a must see! The Niagara Parks Commission spends countless hours and much devotion maintaining and protecting this treasure for the whole world to enjoy! The Oakes Garden Theatre reminds one of a roman garden and is adjacent to the Rainbow Bridge following south. The newly transformed Table Rock Centre is where the Journey behind the Falls is located, which is right at the brink of the Falls. It houses the Elements on the Falls Restaurant, fast food outlets, gift shops and the Niagara’s Fury, a simulated movie about the creation of the Falls. Just opposite of the Table Rock Centre is the Riverview Market Eatery on level 1 and Edgewaters Tap & Grill on level 2. A memorable tour of a lifetime is The Maid of the Mist boat ride, which can be taken from the Maid of the Mist marketplace 0. 5 km north of the Falls.

Fallsview & Clifton Hill are the two main tourist districts in the vicinity. There are several restaurants, night clubs, souvenir shops, lodging, and attractions to experience … the name of the game is … pick and choose your venue … and have great FUN!

Free admission into the park; Fees apply to vehicle parking lots.

The Butterfly Conservatory (admission extra), Botanical Gardens, School of Horticulture, and the Whirlpool Golf Course & Restaurant are along this route. This gives you a range of choices of things to see and/or do.

The above mentioned points of interest are approximately 5-10 km north of the actual Falls along the Niagara Parkway.

Parking lots are free for all the above sites.

Notes:

Appropriate hiking gear is highly recommended.

Fishermen must obtain a local licence.

Hunting is strictly forbidden.

Choosing between Princess and P&O Cruises

0

If you like the idea of going on a cruise holiday then you could be spoiled for choice with many different luxury cruise companies to choose from and an even wider range of destinations that you could pick. The great part of cruise ship holidays is that you can pick almost anywhere there are oceans for the boat to cruise on, this means that pretty much anywhere in the world that isn’t land locked can be accessed and in most cases stopped at for you to be able to get off and explore.

Two of the main cruise companies available to choose from are Princess Cruises and P&O Cruises, both with a wide range of destinations cruised to by a large fleet of luxury liners at any time of year. P&O are well known for world trips and other destinations such as Dubai and the Middle East or further destinations such as Asia and the Orient. Princess cruises also have a wide range of destinations too that include Australia and Hawaii and the South Pacific. Princess Cruises even have tours that go where boats can’t reach with their range of CruiseTours.

Princess’ CruiseTours includes cruise ship sections of their trips but also luxury rail services that can take you inland to some truly amazing sights you may have struggled to see on a cruise holiday. One popular destination for this is Alaska and Canada, by taking these special CruiseTours you can experience much more whilst you are on your cruise holiday.

The boats on which you will stay during your cruise holiday are the very definition of luxury. Even when staying in the cheapest accommodation and dining options on board the multiple decks and activities you can enjoy whilst on board the liner will be perfect for the ultimate relaxing holiday. A lot of cruise holidays used to be known for being a couple only type of holiday and whilst there are still child-free liners as a part of P&O cruise holidays as well as other companies a lot more liners are becoming family friendly with plenty of childcare and children’s entertainment and activities available.

Cruise holidays can be taken in warmer climates such as the Caribbean or Mediterranean seas and these tend to be typical destinations for most cruise ship holidays but colder climates with their stunning vistas like Scandinavia, Alaska and the Baltic regions are equally popular for cruise holidays these days.

What to Expect on a Cruise Vacation

0

Cruise vacations have long been seen as the ultimate in luxury getaways. However, there are a lot of misconceptions about what it is like to take a cruise. If your image of cruises is taken from old episodes of The Love Boat or Titanic, you may be in for a surprise once you set foot on the ship. If you are not sure what to expect on a cruise vacation, read on to rid of misconceptions and find out what you can expect on your first cruise experience.

Arriving at the Departure Point

When you arrive at your departure location, you will be required to hand your bags and luggage to a porter. Your luggage will be delivered safely for you to your cabin later in the day. It is customary to tip these porters two to three dollars per bag for taking them to your room for you. When you arrive at the departure location you will be given tags to put on your luggage denoting your room location so that they arrive to the correct room.

Once your bags are checked in and you have gone through security, it will be time for you to check in with the cruise. While every cruise line handles check-in differently, there are some things you can expect. There will be check-in agents who are ready and easily identifiable at a check-in desk. You will present your confirmation documentation and a passport, if required, to the check-in agent. You will also have to present a credit card on which you want to charge your shipboard expenses and purchases. If you prefer to pay cash for those extra expenses on board ship, you will be asked to leave a cash deposit of at least two hundred and fifty dollars.

Once you have completed the check in process, which takes about half an hour to forty-five minutes, the check-in agent will hand you your cabin card. The cabin card is both the key too your cabin and a “charge card” on which you will charge all extra purchases while on board the ship. In addition, your cabin card will also serve as identification whenever you re-board the ship after a port of call trip. In order to turn your cabin card into an ID card, you will have a security photo taken before you board the ship. That photo will be embedded into your key card so that boarding attendants can check you in when you return to the ship.

On Board the Ship

If you have boarded the ship before 1 p. m. , your cabin may not yet be ready for you. You will be invited to relax poolside, or be directed to a buffet restaurant or lounge to await the announcement that the cabins are ready. Keep in mind that alcoholic beverages and sodas may not be included in the cost of your vacation and you will be charging your drinks on your credit card or ship account. Do not be embarrassed to ask about the cost. You do not want any rude surprises when you get home. Keep in mind that after you get on the ship you will be invited to a “sail away party” as your ship pulls away from doc and you kick off what is sure to be an unforgettable vacation.

While your all-inclusive cruise vacation will include the cost of your meals and lodging, many excursions will cost extra. Shore trips, bowling, gambling in the casino, and even a drink at the bar will incur a charge on your ship account. Be sure to figure those expenses into your overall cost. Most cruise experts suggest that you allow between two hundred to three hundred dollars in extra expenses for each person on a seven day cruise.

Your Cabin

Unless you have booked a suite, your cabin might look very small to you at first glance. However, looks can be deceiving. You will find that there is plenty of storage for all of your things. Cruise lines have also worked hard over the past few years to cater to traveler comfort. The beds, linens and towels will be comfortable if not downright luxurious. Still, keep in mind that you will be spending most of your time outside of your cabin.

Dining on a Cruise Vacation

The food is one of the main stars of any cruise vacation. Food will be readily available just about everywhere you go on the ship from the breakfast served poolside to the midnight buffet complete with gorgeous ice sculptures. Unlike the old movies when dinner in the dining room was the highlight of the day, today’s cruises feature all-day buffets at various restaurants, dining rooms and cafés throughout the ship.

That is not to say that traditional cruise dining no longer exists. Some cruise lines still assign all passengers to a table and a meal time in a main dining room, so be sure to check with your cruise line to find out what kind of dining plans are available.

Activities

There are many activities available on a cruise ship everyday. It is easy to miss ones that you would like to attend if you do not get an itinerary given by the cruise staff when you first board. Each evening, the cruise ship’s crew puts out a daily newsletter that highlights all the activities scheduled for the next day. Be sure to read it, and keep it handy so that you know what is going on and how to get involved.
