what song has these lyrics [Elope with me Miss Private and we’ll sail around the world. . . }?

1

Elope with me Miss Private and we’ll sail around the world
I will be your Ferdinand and you my wayward girl
How many nights of talking in hotel rooms can you take?
How many nights of limping round on pagan holidays?
Oh elope with me in private and we’ll set something ablaze
A trail for the devil to erase

does anyone know what song this is?

where should i go on holiday?

1

My family – parents, brother 16 and me 13 – haven’t got anywhere to go on holiday in the Summer. We have a few ides, we go away each year, but we’re going to do something different for sure. normally the only holidays we really do are Sunsail in Turkey an then skiing but we’re not doing that this year. I kind of want to do a “community holiday” which is when you stay in a town where it’s not a popular tourist place, and with local people and eat their food so that they benefit from tourism as well, but I’m not sure. We might go away with family friends and cousins, there would be 14 of us all together, including my 6y old cousin. if we all go away together we’re thinking of going on a gulet or flotilla around some hot country, i’ve looked on the websites and it does look gorgeous (: but also considering staying in a villa somewhere. thing is it’s pretty booked out, and we would want to stay within walking distance of a beach, and if we’re staying on land then we would want to be able to go to some activities and stuff – surf lessons, sailing, watersports in general. Another option we have is to go to this little place in Wales called Tenby. We have a flat there, but wouldn’t all fit. My mum suggested that all us kids (8 of us) would camp but i’m not really sure how much fun that would be. . Also we go to Tenby really often, about one weekend each month, so it’s not really an exotic summer holiday.
so basically if you’ve done something like this before or have had an amazing family holliday then please tell me, thanks!

A national holiday for Michael Jackson now?

11

I heard recently that they are trying to make a national holiday to honor his life and legacy. I think this is sucha ridiculous bunch of crap its unbelievable. . However technically we have made holidays for worse people. Look at Christopher Columbus! He was thrown out of Spain by Queen Isabella because he raped the 13 year old daughter of a Spanish duchess. Which why was he was sailing the ocean to begin with. . Then he stumbles across America. . slaughters and enslaves many of its inhabitants. . yet we give him credit for finding this country and give him a national holiday? Why not give the pedo Jackson one for being a good dancer and singer! haha
I guess you need to study more then Duchess. . Hell even googling it will pop up with facts. Oh and i never refered to the 13 year old as a child. . all I said was that it was the 13 year old daughter of a spanish Duchess. . Columbus was actually well known back in the day for having child sex slaves. . but it was Queen Isabella who threw him out instead of beheading him for raping the daughter of a noble. What can i say. . I know my stuff about dirty history.

Does Utah lose some ski tourism to Colorado because Colorado has more reasonable liquor laws?

Following a smash debut at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency in September, award-winning cabaret vocalist and Broadway actor Eric Michael Gillett returns to NYC’s smartest supper club with “All My Best”, a collection of his favorite songs from the concert evenings that have brought him national acclaim, coupled with a sneak preview of his first Great American Songbook composer tribute, an evening devoted to Harold Arlen, which will debut in Summer 2010.   “All My Best” will be seen at Feinstein’s on Friday and Saturday nights, January 15 & 16, at 8:30 PM.

Sheera Ben-David to Receive the Julie Wilson Award Performs in Palm Beach August 28th

0

Sheera Ben-David made her Florida debut at the Royal Room of The Colony
Hotel last year.  This June, the New York cabaret star gave birth to her first child, Baxter. She is back for a return engagement August 28 &
29th (as well as Labor Day weekend. ) Sheera insists that Baxter is her
best performance to date, however those of us in the audience may beg to
differ when this extraordinary young woman starts to sing.

The line-up for the 20th Annual Cabaret Convention — which will be held Oct. 7-9 at Jazz at Lincoln Center in Manhattan — has been announced and Sheera Ben-David will receive the Julie Wilson Award.  The performances at the Royal Room are an opportunity for South Florida residents and visitors to experience this young and very dynamic singer.

The New York Times said Sheera Ben-David’s cabaret show “is a compelling
exploration of the power of singing to change consciousness, not only her
own, but yours and mine. Whether it is whistling a happy tune or
vocalizing, the act of making music is a positive assertion of willpower
with communal reverberations that can change the energy in a room, which
is exactly what Ms. Ben-David accomplished. ”

Rob Russell, entertainment director for the Royal Room said, “We are thrilled to have Sheera return with her unique style, flair, and extraordinary talent. “

Thomas R. Cutler, CEO of the South Florida public relations firm, TR Cutler, Inc. coordinated special pricing for those attending on August 28th and 29th.  Cutler, a devoted Sheera fan, insists that, “Sheera is the hope and future of cabaret.   She has the ability to capture your heart in joy and sorrow, humor and tenderness.    She understands the essence and purpose of cabaret performance. ”

To receive the special rate call the Royal Room Reservations line at 561-659-8100 and ask for the TR Cutler rate.
