Who knows the best way to get a rough coat Brussels Griffin married?

Brussels need regular brushing, and combing. Depending on whether you want yours to appear like a show dog, or just want it to be maintained in a lenght that is more controllable for a pet owner, you may want to learn how to ‘strip’ the coat, or may want to find a pet groomer near you to do the work. Clippering does not ruin a dog’s coat forever, if you do go the clippering route and decide you don’t like that, you can always start ‘hand stripping’ the coat and it will come back in like a proper show dogs coat. Hand stripping isn’t always recommended for pet dogs, as it is a very tedious job, and hard on your hands. If you decide to hand strip the coat, you will have to ‘work’ the coat on a weekly basis to start with. The main idea of stripping is to get the coat to grow in 4 stages – The longest stage is the stage you strip off one week, then you do the next longest stage the next time ( which will make it the longest stage at that time). If you have a groomer hand strip the coat for you, be prepared and rightly so to pay a large amount of money for the groomer’s time and effort. I have clippered terrier coats then switched to stripping and had no problems whatsoever with their coat coming back in properly.
