Are rich people already taking their money out of the markets and hiding it offshore?
I noticed a lot of luxury yachts and second homes are on the market, people are ditching these things and not putting the money in teh market. . .
Watch out America, Obama will screw us all by scaring the rich off. . .
Rich people hire cleaning ladies, rich people hire mechanics, rich people cause the economy to move, rich people create jobs. . . Government can’t do all those things on a sustainable basis. . .
Obama was whispering sweet nothings in your ear, he can’t deliver.

And where would the rich people move to? Somalia? Pretty amazing libertarian paradise. No taxes, no government. Good food also.
Europe? Japan? Both are socialist places with sky high taxes.
Communist China? Could work actually, ol’ boy Jim Rogers moved there recently. The man’s a legend… he basically makes his money by inflating commodities bubbles and cashing out at the top. You pay him at the pump and the grocery store. People like him made America great.

Listen here, idiots. Our government is in an almost 11 trillion dollar debt because of low taxes and no financial restrictions. Plus, the rich will always find a way to get richer, believe you and me, they will get rich.
Compared to European and Asian countries, America actually has some of the lowest taxes on the planet but continues to outspend every other country. Like, did you know that people in Denmark pay 50-70% of their paychecks in taxes? Are you complaining now? Heck no. Did you know that many people in England pay half the value of their houses in taxes every 5-7 years? Are you complaining now. Heck no. We, Americans, have it good.
I’m not saying that taxes are good. I honestly believe that almost every single tax dollar the government spends is wasted. I’m against regulation in the financial sector as long as the government doesn’t insure it or bail it out. If the government bails you out or insures you with my money, then I damn well better see some regulation.

All I can tell you is that I’ve lost $85000-$90000 in the last 2 months (and I’m pretty sure you can’t blame Obama for THAT), and I haven’t sold the rest to ‘hide’ it elsewhere, because I know (and my financial adviser reiterated) that this would just make things worse, so I’m just going to have to ride out the storm. Those who are doing this, are making the whole situation worse for everyone.

Yes, this is the new definition for patriotism. You see, despite that their own bible says it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter into heaven, these and other so called Christians have concluded that riches are by far, more important than human suffering. They may hide their money, but the suffering will STILL exist. I wonder how will they handle such suffering then. Perhaps, turn a blind eye? Hide themselves in an offshore cave somewhere? Will they enter into heaven? Pffft! No wonder they have yet to convert the world.

Actually the rich have never made this country move, the middle class have. Want proof? Wal-mart is the largest retailer in the world, and not Saks or Nemen Marcus. America’s wealth is from the middle class, you make your point exactly, Rich people hire cleaning ladies who make what.. 6 bucks an hour? I hardly consider that “economic stimulus” Trickle down does not work. It just simply eliminates the middle class. Ask the people of the middle ages how well “trickle down economics worked”

America is the land of opportunity.
If you want to get rich you just work hard.
If you want to slack off you can expect to be poor and you deserve to be.
Rich people get richer…the poor get drunk.
The rich are now seeing an opportunity and making the most of it.
You don’t see warren Buffet running for cover. He sees an easy pitch and is putting it outof the ball park. -

I think Yachts are stll selling but not in this country as the rich people are hiding some of their assets in other countries.
Rich people got that way and are going to use every loop hole they
can muster.I did not vote for Obama but now that he is in office …we will have
to live with the consequences. You will always have 5% of the
people who are rich..but what we need is for these people to invest
in creating jobs..like you said..and not scaring the rich off…

You people really need to get over your bitterness at losing.
FYI, Obama won the votes of those making more than $200,000 a year 52% to 48%. http://blogs.wsj.com/wealth/2008/11/05/why-the-wealthy-voted-for-obama/
