are these good reasons to dislike someone?

5

there is this girl in my class who i dislike intensely, but everyone else thinks she’s great. she is really fake, bigheaded and, frankly, rude to me on occasion. thinks she is superior as
-she sings fairly well and is in chamber choir etc.
-her parents are wealthy doctors
-mostly-A’s student, due to extreme Exam Paranoia.
-due to the wealthiness, she is in swimming, sailing, bassoon, piano, singing, tennis etc.
you get the picture.

-she is such a prima donna; a MAJOR attention seeker eg. a nice song comes on, cue “eeee! omg this is my favourite song everrrrrrr! eeee! omg!” she always tries to get her face in the newspaper photos for school, always sticks her hand in the air going “miss can i read this bit from the textbook?”
-she dramatically tells of how her dad is so unfair and repressive. apparently he won’t let her hair get any longer than a collar bob. ok, so you’re an ugly mother****** get over yourself.
-she is hypocritical, i was spending a free class doing coursework in the music ict room, and she was like “you didn’t ask out from study hall? well if you want to get detention, your problem!” then 3 days later, she told me to lie to the spanish teacher that she was at piano lesson, when she was actually skipping class with a few friends.
-i think she is perhaps jealous of me because i am more attractive and way better at anything music-related. but she has more money, friends, good grades, holidays, stuff, career prospects, she is fluent in irish (other people are too. . . )?
-she is really nosy.
- she has insulted me in the past; rather not say details, but she has insulted my intelligence and my mother. that hurt, a line has been crossed when you start saying stuff about someone’s momma.

(woah, essay much? :) sorry!)

Need a laptop to take over the road?

5

A few questions:

I am going to drive over the road as a truck driver. I am open to any suggestions about what laptop to purchase and what to buy as a route planner. Looking to spend around $800. 00
My main application will be surfing the net while out on the road. Never been much of a game player. My internet provider at home is AT&T

As far as route planning goes, thinking of maybe purchasing Microsoft Streets & Trips or Truck Stops Plus or both?

Thank you for you time

7 Legendary Destinations For A Windsurfing Holiday

0

A windsurfing holiday is what we all dream of:  to be entertained with outstanding accommodations and spoiled by beauty and perfect winds.  But the world is such a big place and there are so many choices.   Where should we explore next?  Here are seven top destinations that can help you decide.

Legend #1:  Maui

Perfect weather and nonstop winds have given Maui its title: Windsurfing Capital of the World.   The most prominent pro windsurfing events happen here.   Tropical surroundings and diverse beaches and conditions make Maui a worldwide favorite and one of the best places to learn to windsurf.

Legend #2:  Columbia River Gorge

Wild winds drive through the vast Columbia River Gorge while they are dying in many other places.   A natural wind tunnel channels air from the hot desert to the cool sea creating winds up to 40 mph and waves that reach supernatural heights as the airstream fights the river’s flow.   This makes ideal conditions for world-class windsurfing.  White-capped waves entice adventurous souls to experience this legend.

Legend #3:  Cabarete

Cabarete’s reputation has risen from the unusual design of its bay.  An offshore reef protects it, providing beginners and speed sailors a place to play while, just outside the barrier, experts can tackle some the best waves around.    The Eastern Trade Winds blow side-shore at 20 knots year round.   What more do you need?  Wind and a challenging but safe, sandy bottomed bay have turned this quiet little beach village into one of the best world-class windsurfing resorts.

Legend #4:  Greece

Would you expect not to find a legend here?  Here fabled winds blow across mountainous islands of legend, scattered in the turquoise waters of the Aegean, Mediterranean, and Ionian Seas.  Unique diversity, a rich, ancient history, and transparent waters are what typify these famous coasts.  The reliable Meltemi winds, the safety of Greek waters, the perfect climate and the closeness of the ports and coasts make it renown among windsurfers and one of their top seven favorite destinations.

Legend #5:  Aruba

Aruba has the most dependable wind in the Caribbean.  Its reliable wind and water temperatures, combined with being the easiest island to get to in the Caribbean, make it a top pick for windsurfers.   All this is easy to say, but the Aruba Hi-Winds Amateur World Challenge is the proof of it.   This event has been one of the biggest in windsurfing for many years.   It is the largest and most fun amateur windsurfing event of the entire Caribbean.

Legend #6:  Cape Hatteras

Cape Hatteras can be harsh and austere.   Then why is it so popular among windsurfers?  It is the unusually diverse wind, water, and weather conditions that bring them, the same that attracted the Wright brothers.  It’s an enthralling place that tests even the most expert watermen, yet can comfort the novice sailor.  Shallow bays and calm water mixed with huge ocean waves make it satisfying for greenhorn and connoisseur alike.   Here it doesn’t matter which way the wind blows, it is always onshore…or offshore or side shore or however you want it.  This makes it a premier destination for all looking for a legendary windsurfing holiday.

Legend #7:  Baja California Sur

Windsurfing in Baja California is more laid back than many other windsurfing holiday destinations.  It is wild, vast, and open and there are no crowds to fight.   It is a windsurfing adventure on the wild side.   Here it doesn’t matter so much if the wind doesn’t blow.  Mountain bikes, kayaks, fishing and diving are capable of holding your interest for days.   Baja California is inefficient and quixotic.   It is definitely worthy of its legendary windsurfing statis.

There you have it, an escapade for every palate.   It may not be an easy decision but even if you picked it out of a hat, you are sure not to be disappointed.   Each one could of these destinations were designed to bring you a memorable windsurfing holiday.

Sanibel / Captiva Power Outage – Media Coverup of Alien Conspiracy????

1

Last night there was a major power outage on Sanibel / Captiva Island, affecting 5000 customers. There were many reports of mysterious colored lights in the sky from all over SW Florida. Was it caused by aliens? Yes of course it was. That is beyond question. That’s what space aliens do. It’s just not being reported for some reason. . . except in this clip, where somebody forgot to tell the closed captioning guy to squash the story. Hmmm. . . . You be the judge! Remember — the truth is out there! Trust No One!

MAIN AIM A GRAND BET IN DUKE OF YORK – Royal Ascot Festival

0

The Tattersalls Musidora Stakes is a well-known Oaks trial and Aidan O’Brien has the highest-rated filly in the race, Cabaret, a daughter of Galileo who won at the Curragh and Leopardstown last season.

She then went to France for the Prix Marcel Boussac where she finished last, but her saddle slipped that day and I think we’ve got to draw a line through that run.

Clearly, she’s thought of as a possible Classic contender. Johnny Murtagh takes the mount and she does look to have a pretty good chance here.

She’s done nothing wrong so far and I notice that she pops up frequently amongst the best workers in the gallops reports from Newmarket.

She won at Ascot in ready fashion but the runner-up Blue Angel has since been beaten in a handicap so that wasn’t ideal in regard to getting a nice form boost.

There’s also a question of stamina with Aviate as she’s by Dansili and her pedigree looks more that of a miler than a budding mile and a half horse, though Cecil must think she’ll stay and perhaps get a bit further.

I’d have to give Cabaret, who looks a sure-fire stayer, the edge out of the two and the others have got a bit of work to do.

Bikini Babe showed some good form last season and in Dubai, but was a well beaten fourth in the Classic trial behind Chabal at Sandown. That form got a bit of a boost last week when Azmeel won though I do think she needs to step up on that.

Sir Michael Stoute has an interesting runner in Eleanora Duse who was beaten in a handicap first time out this year off a rating of 78 so one would have thought she needs to improve a good deal to feature.

The Duke Of York Blue Square Stakes is very competitive indeed and again O’Brien is represented by a fascinating runner in Starspangledbanner, an ex-Australian sprinter who is twice a Group One winner Down Under.

He was fourth behind Nicconi in the Lightning Stakes on a recent outing and that horse is a likely runner at Royal Ascot next month. Of course, the Australian sprinters have a fantastic record at the Royal meeting.

Starspangledbanner is amongst the very best sprinters in Australia, a son of Choisir who completed the sprint double at Royal Ascot.

He’s a very talented horse who lost his way on his last three outings last season but earlier had looked extremely exciting and was second behind Fleeting Spirit in the July Cup.

A reproduction of that form might just be good enough and it could be that Main Aim is best when fresh – he was deeply impressive I remember on his first start last season.

The three-year-olds are represented by Showcasing, and though it’s a difficult time of year for that age group to take on older horses they have won this race in the past.

Showcasing won the Gimcrack over course and distance last season, was then third in the Middle Park and he hails from the in-form John Gosden stable so you couldn’t rule him out.

Anglezarke, who was third to Scenic Blast in the King’s Stand Stakes last season, would also have a chance on best form though a recent defeat at Bath doesn’t give too much cause for optimism.

All in all it’s a very good race but if Main Aim brings his best game to the Duke Of York then I think he could be the one to beat.
