I have a friend who sold me their tickets Disney World, they will be ok?
One of my friends wants to sell me their old tickets to Disney World, I wonder if it is allowed to buy? I hope that my friend, but I’m a bit paranoid!

Sometimes. You need to ask them a few questions first.
1. When were the tickets purchased.
(a) prior to 2005 then go to step 2
(b) after 2005 then NO
2. How many days left.
(a) any days
(1) maybe
(b) 0 days then NO
You need to determine if the ticket in question is a child pass or adult. If adult they started to use a biometric finger reading about 4+ years ago. If its a child pass then there is no biometric reading – however you need to upgrade it to this years version.Honestly I wouldnt buy my tickets from a friend – just incase she forgot the number of days left, possbile expired ticket, etc. This might jeopardize friendship. Disney has no way to track the number of days left unless you go to guest service at time of arrival at the parks.

In short. No. Disney World along with Universal Studios Orlando, Sea World Orlando and really any Florida attractions are non-transferable meaning, that once a person has used that ticket, they are the only person who can use it.
On the back of every Disney ticket it states, “Nontransferable: must be used by the same person on any and all days.”
The theme parks are going through extreme measures in order to prevent people from “sharing tickets” such as installing biometric readers that take a measurement of your index finger to make sure you are using your ticket and no one else is. I am sorry but I am sure your friend is just unaware of this restriction.

No. They take a scan of your fingers when you enter the park. I pulled this info from the Internet for you:
Will my tickets expire?
Remaining days on any multi-day tickets purchased after January 2, 2005 may be used during a future visit to Walt Disney World only if the “NO EXPIRATION” option is purchased.
What does “non-transferrable” mean?
A Magic Your Way multi-day ticket is linked directly to the guest that purchased it through a Ticket Tag System. This is actually the same technology used for season and annual pass holders.
When a guest uses a ticket to enter a park they place their middle and index finger into the Ticket Tag device at the turnstile. Cameras measure and take an image of several points on those fingers. A number is assigned to that image, which is the information that links that guest to that ticket. So, whenever that guest uses that ticket and enters the park using the Ticket Tag System, that number will be recalled to allow them entrance.
