The best way to get downtown Brussels to get to the airport?
My husband will arrive in Brussels on October 7, and I sat at the airport. I will only have been Burssels for a day, so I do not really know the rail system. What is the best way to move the airport to downtown? Is there a direct train from the South?
I’ll just add
-that you can also take this train at the Gare Centrale and the Gare du Nord
- from Brussels city center, the easiest place to take your train would be at the Central Station = Gare Centrale. This station is just a few minutes walk from Brussels main square (la Grand-Place de Bruxelles).
-please make sure to get off the train not at the first Zaventem stop which is the village but at the second one “Zaventem Aéroport/Zaventem Luchthaven”. More than one person has made that mistake and had to take the bus from point A to B.(traject would only take a few minutes but better to ensure you get off at the right stop)
