Anyone know about Aruba Vacations?

Question : Anyone know about Aruba Vacations?
A few friends and myself want to go to Aruba for a nice relaxing vacation. The only thing is we want to go in march or maybe may so we need a sort of cheap vacation. I’ve been trying to find an all inclusive package, but there pretty expensive..about 1100 per person. Which would be fine if we weren’t looking to go with inn the next 3 months. Any ideas? Or if you have been there and want to share some experiences with me I would love to hear them! Any good places to go or places to stay away from?

i have been there 3 times and i absolutly love it there…there is so mch to do…from night shows, to doing adrenaline building activites like sea trek or horse back riding…you dont have to rent a car because the taxis are very nice but if u wanted to the island is so small it would be difficult to get lost, the food is very good there since they have an array of reesurants to choose from..did you look on travelocoty sometimes they have good bargains although 1100 is not that steep

go to aruba.com and click on where to stay. you might find private dwellings are much cheaper than the high rise hotels. They have many inns and low rise hotels that are very clean and comfortable but without all the glitz and glamour and pools and restaurants. You can visit any beach in aruba as they are all public. Lucky you, have fun.

March is probably one of the worst times to vacation in places like Aruba, let alone find a bargain. This is the time of year when families with kids out on Spring break have to take their vacation, and the resorts are overrun with “tweens”.

I visit Aruba often, and stay only at Marriott Surf Club. I’ve been during Labor Day week, the second week in December and the last week in March. March was the least enjoyable, simply because there were too many tweens running amok, uncontrolled by their parents.

The five and under crew I have no problem with, but I have a three year old. Even six to ten are fine. It’s the eleven to fourteen group that can really break a good vacation. There are “No Diving” signs posted all over the pool area of the resort, yet these kids dive off the rock cliff and the ledges into shallow water. The parents are too busy getting bombed at the pool bar to pay attention.

I would recommend the high rise area. For affordability, check the Holiday Inn, which is next door to the Marriott. There are some fun places like Moomba and Hadicurari, and there is a tour bus that picks up and drops off at Moomba that tours the bars on the island. If you can get a room with a microwave at Holiday Inn, just pack microwaveable meals and have them for lunch. Go to Ling and Sons supermarket on your way from the airport, and pick up your staples, like milk, cereal, beer and liquor. Have cereal for breakfast, the packed meals for lunch, at eat at Moombas for dinner, where you can get away fairly cheaply, as Island fare goes. For something fancy, Hadicurari has a daily early bird special for about $30 per person. Fresh seafood, excellently prepared, great staff.

Google “Holiday Inn Aruba” and see what they’ve got, or go on JetBlue’s website and click on “getaways” and see if they have a deal going with Holiday Inn, so you can get your airfare and lodging for one price.

I would also suggest going on the Marriott Vacation Club website, and taking advantage of a stay at Surf Club. A timeshare presentation is required, but I have been to one, and they are not hard sell, just informative. In fact, I told the gentleman at the outset that it wasn’t a matter of IF, but WHEN I purchased, and I was not pressured in the least. It’s well worth the tour to stay at this resort. They are the best!!

Just book your flight and hotel together… Don’t worry about all inclusive… it’s a rip off anyway (bring your own drinks).

$1100 is not that bad when you figure it will cover almost everything if you are staying at all inclusive. It will cover drinks, meals, entertainment, gratuities, accommodations, air. Then you wont need much money to take with you. If you want to go for less you could always go with EP where you will have to pay for everything separate. That could cost you more in the long run. There are a lot of specials out there right now the only thing with it being so close you will almost have to pay in full when you book it. Most have to be paid within 45 days of travel.
