The weather in the Mediterranean is usually quite good and now days all cruise ships are fitted with stabilisers, which when deployed reduce lateral movement or rolling to a minimum. Cruise ships are so large now, that a cruise ship of 70,000 tons is considered small but even so won’t pitch in the sheltered waters of the Mediterranean.
I would suggest that one of the larger liners 100,000+tons would not move much, in even bad weather, in the Med.
As they say, bigger is better, if you don’t want to rock.
All the large major cruise companies such as Princess, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Holland America have similar ships and all are equally stable. But I would have to say, the bigger, the more stable. I went to the Mediterranean on Princess and did not have one rough day at sea at all. This was in July.
