I like to ski in powder, so I would like to know when each resort area in Colorado gets the best snowfall.

Well Steamboat, Colorado, is very well known for its early season snow, so you can expect good snow in november
early spring the weather is warmer and the hills are less crowded, but the snow is still good. late spring the snow tends to get very slushy and after a long run you get really hot.
