Question: Where do I get a travel visa to Tanzania?
I live in Athens, GA. Is there an office, or even a website, where I can apply for a visa? I can’t find where to do it.

If you are visiting — The best way to do it is just to get your Visa as you arrive in the country. When you are coming in at the airport, you get your Visa through Customs; it takes about 30 minutes (including line wait) and costs about $ 50. This is what my parents did when they visited me in Tanzania.

If you are going to be working in Tanzania or staying longer than 2 weeks, you have to get a different kind of Visa.

The website mentions also requirements for vaccinations, and your local Health Department can help you. A general recommendation for anti-malarials is to start taking them at least 3 weeks before arrival, and 4 weeks after your return.
