Question: Geico: Are They All They Say To Be, Cheap and Reliable (Needing Renters Insurance)?
I need renters insurance and don’t want to use State Farm or Allstate. I noticed Geico has good renters insurance and was wondering what experience people have had with this company?

I had GEICO when I was in an apartment for renter’s insurance. However, they raised the rates after a couple of years for no real reason so I switched to Allstate and have been much happier with Allstate’s rates and service ever since.

when geico was founded (government employees insurance co-operative) it was a really good company, and cared for the policy holders, who were also the owners (government employees) then it went private. it is probably the worst run company of all the things warren buffet owns, it makes a profit, but not what it should, i would not be surprised to see him sell it
