Question: Checking into San Francisco Hotels without Credit Card.?
My friends and I are visiting the San Francisco area in a couple days and are looking for a hotel that doesn’t require a credit card swipe at check-in time. We have no problem booking the hotel online because we are using my sisters credit card. Does anyone know of any way around having to have a credit card to check in? (prepaid credit cards, deposits etc.) Because I do understand that the hotel wants protection against damages and such. Hotel suggestions which don’t require credit card swipe would be greatly appreciated also.

I seriously doubt you will be finding anything like that.

They will accept debit cards, you don’t have to have a credit card. They will require that you have one with your name on it, to match your ID, which is the only reason pre-paid ones are not acceptable.
