planning a weekend getaway to florida?
Question: planning a weekend getaway to florida?
my husband and i and our 15 month old son want to take a long weekend trip to florida. we are not really sure where to go. we would be leaving thursday july 9 and returning july 13. we would like it to be quite and more family geared and not so touristy. all we really want to do is be on the beach and just relax, do a little shopping and that’s about it. we don’t want to spend a fortune either. any ideas would be nice. thank you so much.

Try one of the St. Pete beaches. They are more family oriented. The beaches include Redington, Madeira, Treasure Island, Indian Shore. Some nice little family motels all up and down the beaches. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Summer is off-season, so rates are lower.
not st. pete that guy is crazy st. pete is a dangerous part of florida with a lot of partying NOT a good place for family
try St.Augustine even though its touristy its an amazing place i live in Florida but i take a trip there for my b-day every year its pronominal and there is so much to do and such great food.
another good place would be coco beach its not touristy what so ever because they wont let it but there are a few hotels, the water there is great and there are great surf spots and some good food places
as for the other person who said the the keys that’s like party city like Miami for Florida its very touristy and not that family oriented it more 21 and up oriented
