I purchased this item more than a year ago and was pleased with its practical design. During the first trip the bag practically fell apart. The exterior zipper kept unzipping which led to the bags contents being constantly exposed and/or items falling out. I liked the design so I had a stronger exterior zipper installed (Cost $20.00 )and used it on a second trip. During the second trip the bag’s interior zipper broke. No bad consequences but the zipper should not have broken. I’ve replace that long interior zipper with Velcro, which is a better idea anyway,and will try it on a third trip.

This is a smart design, but….. Why not use good materials and craftsmanship in the first place. Before I take that next trip I’ll also have to repair the shoulder strap pad which is falling apart due to improper cutting and sewing. I hope that if you buy one that the construction is better than mine. But I’d really check out the quality of the exterior zipper before you take that first trip with this bag.

I got this just in time for a cross-country (USA) trip. It fit perfectly over the tray table and gave me great access to everything I might need during the flight, without me having to reach into my bag, under the seat or in the overhead. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a book, a netbook, a Kindle, paper, pen, water bottle, asprin, or those small things that you always forget until you are buckled in all at your fingertips. My seatmate was still able to get by my seat with this attached to the tray and I still had plenty of leg room. Great idea that I wish I had for those long overseas flights. I won’t travel without this again!
