You really don’t “graduate” from a flight school, it all depends on what ratings you want to go for. It depends on a lot of factors as with anything in aviation, but it is more like 3-5 years if you go to a “typical” school. If you go to an accelerated school and devote all your time to flying, you could get all your ratings in a much shorter time.
I’ll assume you mean how long to become a professional pilot. It doesn’t have to take long at all to get all of your pilot certificates and ratings that you typically need. I’d say that for most, it takes a couple of years. However, if you can devote 100% of your time to flying (i.e. you’re not working another job at the time), you can go from 0 hours to your first job in the aviation field (typically a flight instructor) in less than a year.
Becoming a pilot is not like becoming a Doctor. You don’t need years and years of schooling in order to do it. Yes, you need a college degree (in anything) in order to be competitive, however, learning to become a pilot is more like learning a trade or a vocation. It’s something that can be done very quickly if you are determined.
