Due West or Round the World in Ten Months
0From Preface:
“To circumnavigate the globe in our day is only a question of time and money, the facilities being ample, and the inducements abundant. Intelligently and successfully to consummate such a purpose is an education in itself. The tourist will find all previous study enhanced in value by ocular demonstration, which imparts life and warmth to the cold facts of the chroniclers, besides which a vast store-house of positive information is created which time cannot exhaust. Perhaps the majority of travelers see only that which comes clearly before them; but this they do most faithfully, being possessed of a stronger sense of duty than of imagination. The clear, direct vision of such people has its merit. There are others who both see and feel, to whom the simplest object in its suggestiveness may be full of beauty. It is the latter who pluck delightful mysteries out of travel; and who, after viewing nature, it may be in her calmest moods, bring away with them upon the tablets of memory a Claude Lorraine. The eyes will operate automatically, but it is of little avail unless one exercises the observing power; then they become luminous. You will find poetry nowhere unless you[Pg viii] bring some with you, says Joubert. If the author succeeds in imparting to the reader but a share of the great and varied pleasure he realized in the ten months of travel herein recorded, his object in transcribing these experiences will have been fully consummated.”

Greece Flights connecting?
0Question: Greece Flights connecting?
Do flights to greece from toronto have a connection flight…..
through london…..???? or any major city
(flights to greece)
Best answer:
Answer by Andy
All major European airlines fly to Athens:
Lufthansa via Frankfurt
British Airways via London
Air France via Paris
etc.
Alternatively, Air Transat offer direct flights to Athens from Toronto and Montreal and Olympic (Greek Flag Carrier) offers a direct Toronto to Athens service.
Finally you could try connecting in the USA with:
US Airways via Philadelphia
Continental Airlines via Newark
Delta Airlines via JFK or Atlanta
Check out expedia for air fares and then once you see which is cheapest I’d book it direct with the carrier itself- will be a little cheaper.
Hope that helped!
Taming Stalls and Spins (King Accelerated Schools)
0By viewing TAMING STALLS AND SPINS from King Acccelerated Schools you’ll quickly learn what causes a stall… how it can transition to a spin… how to instantly recognize & avoid situations that might result in loss of control… & steps to take in the event you find yourself in a stalled condition. Dramatic in-flight video compellingly demonstrates the aerodynamics of stalls & spins during everyday flight. Understanding the nature of stalls and spins before you get in the cockpit makes it easier to recognize when you need to take action when you’re in actual flight. A “must” for every pilot–regardless of your experience. “I feel I could recover from an accidental spin if needed… extremely good” (GR, Delano, CA).

Recommendations for hotels in the French Quarter?
5Question: Recommendations for hotels in the French Quarter?
Can anyone recommend a hotel in the French Quarter of New Orleans or nearby where they had a good experience (or where they did NOT have a good experience) thats also reasonably priced? I’m taking into consideration: good location, good price, clean rooms, parking, etc.
This is not for Mardi Gras. It’s a Spring Break trip for my boyfriend and I. We’d like to stay for 1 or 2 nights.

The Royal Sonesta is very nice & actually affordable IF you book online. It’s in a great location. That’s usually where I stay when I go (I live in Baton Rouge). There’s also a Holiday Inn French Quarter that’s nice, not quite as nice as Royal – but it’s a little cheaper. Make sure you book online, you’ll save money that way.No matter where you stay, you’ll have to pay for parking – that’s just New Orleans. My recommendation – park and walk EVERYWHERE you go. Most places you’ll want to see are within walking distance anyway.
Make sure that ya’ll go eat at Mulates, you’ll enjoy it. They have great food, a wonderful staff & the prices are not too high. I hope you have a wonderful time :-)

County records if you plan on buying. I stayed there one summer. It’s gorgeous. Real Estate investments were up and down because of storms back then. There are a lot of nice places nearer Panama Beach as well.
