Where to find the best and cheapest medical insurance?

2

Question: Where to find the best and cheapest medical insurance?
Ok, I think I am already addicted to this Yahoo Answers thing considering this is my 3rd question already! LOL, Anyway, I have currently been without any health insurance for over a year now and I do not want to risk that any longer! My problem is, of course, money. The insurance offered through my job is pretty good but it is also pretty expensive ($ 54 every 2 weeks: $ 108/month) not including dental. I have done the famous google search for health insurance quotes and I keep coming up with the same few sites that acutally show me the quotes and not have to call me or email me some crap. .
Can anyone give me some tips on where to look? I want to pay less then $ 100/month with dental included and I have found 1 that seems decent so far but I feel like I can find something better.
I am looking for a deductable between $ 500 and $ 1000 and the cheapest possible copay, no more than $ 30.

Thanks!

Please only legitimate answers.
(flight insurance)

Answer by Kor
it does not matter what proportion. just remember to buy travel insurance whenever you travel. travel insurance not only cover your medical bills when you are overseas. it also cover lost of personal belongings due to theft, baggage delay, flight delay and more. read the details of the travel insurance that your local ins co are offering choose something that is within your budget. you may also want to consider spending a bit more for better coverage if you are travelling to a country with high std of living and vice versa, you may not need such a good coverage when you travel to a country that has a much lower std of living. if you travel a lot within a year, you should get a annual plan which should be cheaper then buying for every trip you travel. there should be family package available too.

Best is related to your interests and wallet.

For example. Perhaps you want a young crowd and not the 50+ crowd. Golf? Tennis? Water sports?

I recommend that you join the AAA and research the amenities that interest you. (The cost of joining can be offset by AAA discounts on car rentals, hotel costs and admissions charges).

Question: How do I get big discounts for hotels in Los Angeles area?
We are planning a trip to Los Angeles. We want to stay at Santa Monica, but the hotel prices are way too pricey. We may stay in Los Angeles, not sure yet. Depends on hotels. I hear all of the time that there are ways to get big discounts, but I don’t know how to do that.

Triple A is usually the common discount if you’re a member.

As far as big discounts, if you’re a big traveler you might want to look into becoming a Leisure Travel Consultant. You get great LTC rates on hotels, resorts, cruises, rental cars, etc. As well as make commissions from any sales you make.

If you don’t like the idea of being an LTC, you could check out becoming a Dreamtrips member. Hands down they offer the best deals on luxury hotels, resorts, and trips i’ve ever seen. They’re pretty unbelievable. I was sold as soon as I looked at what they had to offer and they keep adding more. With Dreamtrips the deals are for you and a guest/spouse and often includes the kids too. Definitely worth looking into.

Hope this helped.

Royal Caribbean/Carnival vs Catamarans.com – Who wins the hearts and minds?

1

Question: Royal Caribbean/Carnival vs Catamarans.com – Who wins the hearts and minds?
Who do you think will win this battle for customers?

The first two focus on ‘mass’ vacationing to e.g. The Caribbean while the last one focuses on niche crewed sailing vacations onboard crewed mega catamarans, power and sail.

If you were going to go on a vacation to the Caribbean would you really choose Carnival or Royal Caribbean or would you consider a luxury, small sailing vacation onboard a beautiful 50 foot plus catamaran with a small crew, chef and captain who cater to your every need and take you to remote pristine beaches and diving destinations.

Research tells us not many ordinary travellers are even aware of crewed sailing vacations……

How would you vote?
