I don’t know about ISO. But I do know where you can check out a really good medical plan for study abroad (or any other travel away from home country). Go to http://www.wavehelp.com/travel-medical/index.htm click on the little red phone booth for TravelGuard and read up about Worldwide Health. It is very good insurance and TravelGuard is the industry leader.
Best wishes.
Finding Grants and Scholarships for Healthcare Student?
1Question: Finding Grants and Scholarships for Healthcare Student?
It seems that many websites want to charge a lot of money for access to grant and scholarship databases. Is there a way to access academic grants and scholarship offers without risking a scam? I’m asking those of you who have purchased services or utilized search sources with success. I thank you very much.

Hello – I have not been to college for quite awhile. But I understand this country has a shortage of nurses in direct health-care!! *You need to take the simplest approach possible by going to a local community college admission and information center – they will help you, I am SURE!! > Also, you can go look in your local phone book’s yellow pages for Nursing schools located close-by. By going in person to these places they will show you your options right there in front of you, and it is their JOB to find you a grant that fits your situation. You can then leave with lots of papers in tow, saying you’ll consider it further.

Who can accomodate non-safari group travel that goes to Kenya?
1Question: Who can accomodate non-safari group travel that goes to Kenya?
I want to go to the beaches of Mombasa to visit a friend, but for obvious reasons, don’t want to travel solo to a foreign country. So if anybody knows of a tour operator or travel agent in the US that book group travel to Kenya, this information would be greatly appreciated, and thanks to other Yahoo users who have posted their answers about Kenya.

Going on vacation to Canada, and I’m injury prone. I want to insure myself.?
0Question: Going on vacation to Canada, and I’m injury prone. I want to insure myself.?
I’m looking for temporary international health insurance while I’m in Canada for a few days. I have no existing health problems except for my super awesome ability to trip over things, which sometimes causes visits to emergency rooms, and Canadian hospitals won’t take American insurance (fair enough). Everything I’ve found on google seems like a scam. Does anybody have any suggestions?

If you have CAA (I suppose it is AAA in America) you can get travel health insurance at a very good rate. If you’re going with someone else who has AAA, you can get group insurance for an even better rate!
I’m a Canadian. One time I thought I broke my ankle and went to the hospital. I forgot my entire wallet, so I couldn’t give the hospital clerks any ID or insurance cards. They fixed me anyways and I didn’t pay for it. It turned out to only be a nasty sprain, but that’s besides the point. If you need help, they’ll help you. Even if you don’t have proof of insurance or even citizenship. I’ve never been or heard of anyone ever being turned away from a hospital or doctor for monetary reasons. But still try to find insurance, because you never know if maybe you’ll get that one dipshit clerk who is a cheap asshole and doesn’t care about other human beings.

Car insurance companies ask what the use of the vehicle will be, whats the best answer?
4Question: Car insurance companies ask what the use of the vehicle will be, whats the best answer?
I am buying a car, though I probably won’t use it to commute everyday, only for long trips out of the city. I noticed that insurance companies on their quotes ask what the car will be used for. I’m not even sure myself how the car will be used on average, what answer gets the lowest rate? Some examples are “Commuting to Job” “Commuting to School” “Pleasure/recreation” “Business”

Answer by mbrcatz17
The lowest rate does you no good, if the claim is denied because you lied on the application.
And, they’re going to check milage.
No commuting gets the lowest rate – pleasure use only. But only if you put less than 5K miles on the car every year.
What is the tourist group reference number on Russian visa application? Does this apply to cruises?
0Question: What is the tourist group reference number on Russian visa application? Does this apply to cruises?
I’m getting a visa to visit Saint Petersburg on a cruise. The visa application form asks for a tourist group reference number on question 16. Do I need to fill this out if I’m traveling to Russia on a cruise? If so, who do I get this number from? I booked my cruise through a travel agency. Will they have it? Thanks for your help.
It should also be noted that I am an American citizen and I intend on traveling independently (without a shore excursion). Thanks for your advice Lew!

I have just been to St Petersburg on a cruise and only needed to fill out a passport card on board the ship to get through Passport control on the dockside. ( I am from the UK, but I am sure the cruise ship arranged a block visa for the passengers who were going on the excursions)
We sailed from Dover on the Norwegian Dream.
I am sure that you only need to apply for a visa if you intend to travel independently (again UK advice).
Check with the cruise line.
Enjoy your cruise, St Petersburg is fantastic.
