Question: Climbing Kilimanjaro – starting from Mombasa?
I’m going to be in Mombasa in the summer and I’m looking into the possibility of climbing Kilimanjaro. After a lot of googling, I haven’t been able to find any tours which start from Mombasa or ways to get from Mombasa to Moshi (where I could start a tour from).

Can someone tell me the best/cheapest way to climb kilimanjaro starting from Mombasa?

You can’t climb Mt.Kilimanjaro starting from Mombasa,but you can travel from Mombasa to Moshi,which around 50 km away from Mt.Kilimanjaro.There are flights from Mombasa International airport to Kilimanjaro International Airport.However,the cheapest option is taking a bus from Mombasa,directly to Moshi,or from Mombasa-Nairobi-Moshi.
There’s a bus company called ‘RAQIB’ that connects Mombasa to Moshi.The raqib Buses usually depart early in the morning,around 7.30 am,the bus stand is located off digo road on the old Mwebe Tayari bus station,if you take a taxi,it’ll get you to the bus station.It will cost you less than 50 dollars.
