I found this site while searching for Washington DC Hotels. They have a good list of many Cheap Hotels in Washington DC Hotels, but i m little confused in selecting the best one having the cheapest rate. please help me out…

Bid on a room on priceline.com-I did this a couple weeks ago for Philly
and got a 5star hotel next to the convention center for 75 a night.
When you go on priceline it will ask you what areas you want-pick downtown DC and bid 75-100. The red roof inn in chinatown and howard johnson near penn quarter are reasonable also. -

Tell me this. Do you HAVE to be inside Washington DC?
A better bet is to get a hotel in the outskirts of DC…either Virginia or Maryland, that is close to the Metro (subway) station.
You will find that the rates for Maryland and Virginia hotels are going to be cheaper than the ones right inside DC. AND, by taking the metro/subway, you can get around just as well.

Try the Hotel Harrington. It is a really old hotel and somewhat outdated but, it was clean and comfortable when we were there in 2007. Best of all it is close to everything including the Metro. Also, lots of places to eat within walking distance. They have a website.
