Try priceline.com and make a bid on a hotel in Boston. Make sure you check off a 3 Star hotel so you’ll be in a good location. Boston is small enough, so getting to the Back Bay should be fairly easy. Priceline might even ask what section of Boston you’re looking for too. I’d suggest using iBtraveling.com to find a hotel with the date you’re looking to stay, find out how much they usually would cost you, and then click on Priceline (iBtraveling will have a link for Priceline too) and then bid on your hotel at about 60% off what the normal rate is. The closer you are to the date you want, the more likely you’ll get your price. Good luck and have fun in Bean Town!
Try http://www.hotels.com because everything directly downtown in Boston is going to be a little pricey. Maybe consider staying a little bit out of the city and traveling in. Everything is very close, and easy to get to by public transit in Boston, which doesn’t always happen in big cities.
