What is the best Luxury Alaska Cruise?
Question: What is the best Luxury Alaska Cruise?
I’m looking to go in August, and I want the best experience possible for 3 17 year olds and 2 adults. There are no issues with price so this is just the best cruise line period.
(best alaska cruise)

The Best cruise line period is Carnival Cruise lines. Its already proven, out of all the cruise lines they make the most money.
You should defiantly check out this site.

If you want a very close-up and personal experience to see the wildlife, learn about the nature and culture of Alaska, and stop at small ports where the mega-cruise ships cannot go, try American Safari’s luxury yachts.
Their largest small cruise ship carries 36 guests; the atmosphere is casual; the ship is luxurious and the service level is very high.
If whales are spotted, the ship will alter its course to follow them.
Small cruise ships do not have casinos, lavish evening shows, formal dining, and shopping malls. Small ships focus on the experience — kayaking along the coast, hiking through a pristine national forest.
Of the large cruise ships, Regent and Silversea are the best cruise lines (highly rated, very luxurious, excellent service and amenities), but they may not have the on-board activities to provide an excellent experience for the 17-year olds.
Enjoy your trip!

My cruise/tour to Alaska with Princess cruises was fantastic. I would highly recommend a cruise/tour if you have the time. We did 4 extra days in Alaska and Princess has there own resorts in several places in Alaska. We choose to go by train the Denali park and stayed in the Princess wilderness lodge. It was a beautiful resort surrounded by a river and mountains. We went on a wilderness tour where we saw many animals such as bears, moose and lots of small critters. We also went on a tour to Jeff Kings musher facility. He has won 4 ididarods and this year came in 2nd place. After Denali, we took another train to the coast to then get on our ship. Princess has won prizes in these Alaskan tours and everything about there cruises is top notch. They have many things suitable just for teens on board the ship too.

The top cruise lines above and beyond, Princess, Celebrity, Holland America and Royal Caribbean are the luxury cruise lines like Crystal, Regent Seven Seas, and SIlverSeas. They are a cut above because they have smaller ships, include more amenities like wine with dinner, and provided a higher level of service because they have a higher crew to passenger ratio.
Silverseas:
http://www.silversea.com/destination.aspx?page_id=destination®ionid=9&searchby=RegionSo while Holland America, Celebrity and Princess are fine cruise lines, they are not THE best. Prices on these luxury lines are appropriately higher, in many cases about double what they are on the next tier of cruise lines.
When I cruised to Alaska I went on Princess and loved everything about the ship and the cruise. But if you want to move up, go with the luxury cruise lines.

My parents and i went on an alaskan cruise last summer with Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) and loved it. The service was great and the cruise had lots of nice entertainment features. We liked NCL so much we are doing a bahama/florida cruise with them this coming christmas. The fact that the kids are 17 is good too because it allows them access to many more features like the gym facilities.
Princess cruises are also really nice but i don’t know how many alaskan cruises they do.
Dont do Carnival. I’ve heard that they are crowded and noisy and cheap. -

The Best cruise line not only to Alaska but, peroid is Holland America. Cost is higher & service & food is the very best there is. However for the best experience going to Alaska is a cruisetour. But, at this late date you may not find any cabins on any line. Try 1-800-Princess. They put you up in 5 star lodges. Denali National Park is a great stop to see wildlife & Mt. McKinely and the river boat cruise (areal sternwheeler) in Fairbanks where you stop at a native Indian village is great. A tip on cruisetours is the only real difference is where they stop on the land tour.
Enjoy. -

The only luxury lines that sail to Alaska are Silversea Cruises and Regent Seven Seas.
Celebrity and Holland America are also excellent cruise lines, but dont fall into the luxury category.
