Tips cruise in Alaska: Which is the best cruise line?
Currently, there are
six major Alaska cruise lines: Princess, Holland America, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, NCL and Carnival. Each of these cruise ships has a distinct character, so how do you decide which one best suits?
Holland America is the formal and traditional cruise lines, with the smallest vessels of all main lines in Alaska. Holland America also tends to be very popular with cruisers and tends higher passenger and demographic tend older than the other lines.
Princess is the largest shipping company in Alaska and has a fine tradition and innovation, including a flexible diet plan. When Holland America, Princess sails eight ships currently in Alaska. However, the Princess ships a little larger and can accommodate almost twice the number of passengers.
Princess is also a leader in the cruise tours in Alaska and the shipping company owns several houses in the beautiful area of Denali National Park. So if you add a title for your cruise tour like, Princess is a good option.
Norwegian (NCL) is the most innovative cruise lines in Alaska, offers several restaurants and the incredible diversity and flexibility of dining room with its “Freestyle Cruising” concept. Norway also has the newest fleet sailing in Alaska, and their ships, the finest amenities such as climbing walls and even bowling alleys. On the negative side, they sail round-trip itineraries, so if you want to the interior of Alaska Tour, NCL is probably not for you.
Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, while providing less than the Alaska Cruise Princess does not offer extraordinary quality and variety of routes, although neither has time cruises that stop in Glacier Bay. They have ships, the Hubbard Glacier, to visit an excellent option as an alternative to Glacier Bay.
Finally, the carnival is the “forgotten” the shipping company in Alaska. Carnival is not currently own a boat in Alaska, especially on one-way routes between Vancouver and Whittier. I thought the carnival was often very cheap, and if you are looking for a cruise an opportunity to check out Carnival, if only for a price comparison.
All of these cruise lines are really great options. The one you select depends on what you see and what kind of environment you on ships. But no matter what kind of atmosphere you prefer, from traditional to innovative, there is a Cruise Line in Alaska for you.
