is an email saying i won a bahamas cruise vacation real or just a bluff?
Question: is an email saying i won a bahamas cruise vacation real or just a bluff?
i received an email saying “Congratulations! You have been selected to receive a complimentary* Bahamas Cruise!” coupled with the apparent Cruise director email address.
unfortunately, it sent to me back on April 22, 2008 and i’m not aware of it!! OMG i don’t know why i’m not.
i intended to delete some emails i had then suddenly i saw it and obviously it’s expired.
now i’m feeling so down if its really true. so, in order for me to overcome it, i asked her, please someone tell me it’s not real!!! huhhuhuhuhu T_T
bahamas cruise is my dream!!!
back at the end of 2007, a fortune teller told me that year 2008 will be my lucky year because of wealth and luxuries!
OMG i don’t want to think that was it and a let it go!!!!

The fact that you need to ask tells me you already know the answer. You have won absolutely nothing except the opportunity to get screwed over somehow.

It’s a SCAM (of sorts). What they will do is try to get you to buy a timeshare as part of the agreement. They WILL give you the cruise (you’ll probably have to pay taxes and such) but don’t beleive it when they say “you will only have to go to a seminar about their timeshares that last 90 minutes”. If you do’t want to buy…it could last as long as 3 hours. Don’t give them ANY info over the phone or internet other than your credit card number (never give them the the 3 digit code on the back of the credit card). They will need your CC number to pay your portion (the taxes and such) of the cruise before they can book it. REMEMBER…nowadays…you can get a cruise for as little as $ 199. So if you don’t want to buy a timeshare…don’t let them waste your time. You can usually even put down a deposit to book a cruise and pay it off up to 90 days before the cruise leaves.

well it could’ve been for real, but if you really think about it the fees and other stuff would come to more that if you had paid for the trip through a travel agent. My guess is that you really did not miss anything.
