What are the price ranges for downtown Atlanta apartments?

Question: What are the price ranges for downtown Atlanta apartments?

Thank you everyone. I will be attending school in downtown Atlanta, off of peachtree street and I was looking for apartments around there.
I checked out the links Hazy recommended and I found a few decent prices*, but …I don’t know about the community. This is kind of hard. Housing on campus is about $ 7,000 a year, which is about $ 580/mo.
I’ve given in and decided to look for a room mate. You see, I have a cat and she’s my sanity. She’s like my daughter and I absolutely can not give her away. I was looking at Ashley Collegetown – anyone know anything about this place?

go to Msn Rentals, you’ll probably get an accurate range there. :)

I would definitely go with the campus housing, it will be very difficult to find anything cheaper than that unless you live with a couple roommates. You can always go to the outskirts of Atlanta to find something a little less expensive. But as far as an apartment downtown in a decent area, you are looking at around $ 1,200 and up.

It really is a wide range. There are some on Myrtle St. for $ 650+. Two on Peachtree for $ 650+. Some in midtown for about the same. These are small studio places. I live on Peachtree and pay $ 720/Mo for 600sq.ft 1 bedroom.

Then all the rest start around $ 1000 and the sky’s the limit in the nicest place. I’ve seen some for $ 3000.

EDIT:
I’ve seen the houses on campus. They are huge and really nice. $ 580 is the cheapest you will find anywhere in Atlanta unless you like bugs and drugs. If you live on campus you will be fine. If you live off campus, then you should consider going a little north on Peachtree to Brookwood or Buckhead area. The area just off campus is a scary place at night. There’s an under-funded shelter on Renaissance+Jupiter. So there’s over a hundred ppl, all over the surrounding blocks, all night long and you can’t walk 2 feet with-out being asked for money or mugged.

And the links that Hazy Gave is a really good area. It’s called Atlantic Station. It’s new, really nice, and there’s some good prices in there. Lots of stuff to do and you never have to leave the neighborhood to get anything you want.

About $ 1000 to $ 1400 a month for a two bed apartment. Prices go up higher if you get into a trendy high rise.

ATL has a wide range of apartment prices depending on the area of downtown.
