Question: San Antonio Hotels?
My hubby and I will be escaping to San Antonio this weekend. We want to know if the hotels on the Riverwalk are actually worth the cost ?

It depends on what you are planning to do while in the city. For a couple escaping, a nice dinner on the river at Boudro’s or one of the other nice restaurants can be very nice.
Even though I live in the city, when my wife and I go out for a nice night, we usually go out for dinner on the Riverwalk, then to a show at the Majestic, listen to some music or just take in the Rivercenter Comedy Club.
I think the Riverwalk area can be charming, and would recommend the downtown area, as there are many things to do, and restaurants in the area, and you can get to them by walking the river or taking the downtown trolleys.
But, if you are going to Sea World or Fiesta Texas, then you might want to stay in that area.
Try getting away from the hotels on the river walk. They will range from $ 150 to $ 275 if you go like a mile down to the Super 8 on St Marys you will get a nice hotel room for $ 79 Im sure you want to spend money going out and experiencing stuff instead of staying in an overly large bulding your entire trip.
