Can I bring watches to turkey?

Question: Can I bring watches to turkey?
I bought 3 watches I want to bring as gifts to people in Turkey. I will be traveling Thursday. Do i have to pay anything to bring the items through customs in Turkey. The total value is less than $ 500.00. Also, I am bringing clothing with tags on for my mother. Should I take the tags off so I don’t pay for customs or is it going to be free to bring with me on my carry on luggage?

Don’t worry, there won’t be any problem. You can bring them in your luggage without paying any tax.

No need to worry or take extra measures. Just pack your luggage the way you’d like and relax. BTW I just remembered an old joke.

The guy arrives at the customs checkpoint with a heavy suitcase. The customs officer asks;
- What’s in there?
- Bird food.
- Open it up please.

It turns out that the suitcase is full of watches. The Officer asks:

- How come you said that these were bird food?
- Well I feed them with these; Either they eat or not, it’s not my problem!
