Question: What are some beach destinations on the east coast?
A friend & I are trying to plan a trip for August – someplace on the beach. My friend wants to go to Virginia Beach so I’ve already found a couple places there but I want to have more options. So I’ve been looking into Hilton Head, SC; Providence, RI; Myrtle Beach, SC; Boston, MA.
We live on Long Island, NY and would like to be able to road trip to wherever it might be. Money is no object. The only issue is that I’m 18 & she’s 19. So the hotel has to have 18+ check in. Which sucks because condo rentals are out since they’re 25+ mostly.
Any ideas on where we could go based on that?

Don’t go to Virginia Beach that place is trashy. Try Myrtle Beach or Ocean City MD, Virginia Beach is a popular place for College African Americans
Awww crap about the age thing, I was going to say check a few of the beaches a little south of HHI (which is a little on the snotty side), like st simons, jekyll, tybee, and such. But again most places require someone to sign at least 25 years old. A good alternative might be the “base of operations” approach. Like a stay in Savannah (much more to do for people your age) which would put you in a short drive to virtually all those places, including HHI. The place to party in Savannah is “River Street”, drink on the same ballast stone streets as Blackbeard. But I recommend you stay just off River Street itself. If you’re not familiar with Savannah, lots of movies have been shot there from “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” to …..crap, mind went blank, that one with Affleck and Sandra Bullock, to “Glory” with Denzel and Broderick. The Golden Isle Expressway provides easy access to numerous beaches.
