Question: Boston Hotels that allow under 21 check in?
Hey I am looking to spend a night in Boston but am only 20 so am wondering if there are any hotels that accept under 21 check ins. I have a credit card in my name and would like to stay in Boston but am told you have to be 21 to check in. Does anyone know of specific hotels (either in boston or near it) that allow 18 as minimum check in age? Thanks for your help!

Question: What’s the best Downtown Austin hotel for SXSW that will allow a 20-year-old to check in?
I’ve been browsing, but finding hotels in the area that aren’t 21+ check-in is difficult.

I would like something within a mile and a half of 6th Street & the Convention Center so that I can walk to the venues…

And less than $ 300 a night, please. I know the Hilton–ironically enough–is 18+, but the rates are too much for a week-and-a-half stay.

Question: Will the Royal Caribbean Cruise ships not allow you to board the ship if you are caught “smuggling” alcohol?
I am planning on filling a 2-liter soda bottle with clear alcohol and putting it into my checked baggage. The policy says Royal Caribbean reserves the right to not allow me to board the ship if caught. Will they actually not allow me to get on? or is that just a scare tactic. I’ve read several articles saying they just return it to you at the end of the cruise. Help!

Well, it DOES say the can deny boarding, so, yes, they could deny you boarding. Whether they will or not, you never know. They definitely WILL confiscate it, however.

I am 17 years old and am graduating High School. I live in Tucson AZ but a lot of friends are living in Phoenix and I want to visit them. I have permission to stay at a hotel by myself as long as I pay for it (I have a debit card to use) and my dad is willing to sign something or talk to the manager about allowing me to stay there. Does anyone know where there are nice but not too expensive hotels in Phoenix more Specifically Avondale area?

They’ll probably make your dad pay for the room on his card for liability reasons and he’ll have to talk to them, so I would just find out how much it’s going to cost and give him the money before you leave.

Any deals available will still keep the rental and hotel elements separate, and you may find that rental companies will not let you cross state lines, unless of course you are going to return the rental to it’s origination point? Personal I would keep them separate anyway as packages like these are more often fly/drive/hotel rather than drive/hotel.

Ok so I mae another post somewhere about transporting my dog.. but no one had any comments about cruises so here it goes..

I’m looking for some type of other way, besides flying, to bring my dog home, from China to Canada.

Does anyone out there know of any boats/cruises from China-Canada???That would allow one large dog?

Does anyone know what the conditions are like on freighters?? I’m a 22 year old female.. will be travelling alone. When someone says freighter I picture a bunch of scrubby men.. is this safe for me?

Nope – not the major lines, for sure.

With the possible exception of Cunard, which did have a kennel aboard the QE2. I don’t think they have that on the new ships, however. And their ships go into New York, generally – a China to Canada cruise would be unlikely in the extreme.

My husband and I are planning a cruise with our 1 year old. I know some cruise lines do not allow children who aren’t potty trained to swim in any of their pools (even kiddie pools). We are looking for a cruise ship that allows swim diapers in pools.
