Question: Planning trip to Kauai, Should I go alone?
I’m going on vacation towards the end of September, and was consider going to Kauai, Hawaii since it looks quite beautiful and relaxing. I’m going by myself, since all my friends are non existent. So from anybody else’s experience, think I’ll have fun going at it alone? Is there enough to do there? I’d be staying for a week.
Also is 1900 a good deal for a week at a hotel with great reviews and a car rental? Thanx in Advanx.
Also (sorry), lol, if not Kauai, anybody have any other suggestions on nice places to go alone on vacation?

If you are a female I would never suggest going on vacation alone. I do have a male friend of mine who went to Kauii along last summer. He fell in love with the place, made many friends and will be moving there once he sells his condominium. Another suggestion for vacation would be a cruise. They have singles cruises as well. My husband and I have cruised over 15 times in the last 4 years and obviously thoroughly enjoy it. You are catered to every moment of the day if you wish and it is very easy to meet people from all over the world.

Question: How safe is it to go to India alone from Canada?
im an east indian from india but im going back to India alone after a long time. I am in my 20′s and single.News and phone calls to india has scared the crap outta me. I intend to go to Bihar and a few small towns in Bihar(native land). I will be travelling in day time with family or friends, i know hindi perfectly, and i will be wearing indian cloths. Other than all of the above , what else do i need to worry about? Also, i will be travelling to all the metro cities…is it safe there? Do u think i should even dare to think of going to night clubs in india? PLEASE HELP!! give me all the info i need to have for a safe trip to India alone. thanks,

it’s very safe there, there is very little street crime. there is some con-artist stuff, but since you don’t look western they will probably not see you.
in the big cities, take the usual precautions. don’t walk around alone too late at night, watch your surroundings, don’t make eye contact with strange men, that kind of thing. yes you can go to night clubs, especially in mumbai, there are many young indians there. nothing to worry about.

Question: Parents wont let me travel to London alone…?
So as it stands, I’m 20, nearly 21. Going to college (I live about 2 minutes from it, so decided to stay with my parents.) I pay rent every single month, I pay for my food, I work, I also bought my own car, and pay for my insurance. Basically I’m living with my parents, yet I pay for what i would if i were on my own. I get decent grades in College (holding about a 3.6 GPA)
So, I’ve been trying to go to London to visit a friend (yes, we’ve met) for a little over a year now. Every single time i ask them, they throw a fit. It even got to the point where i actually booked a flight, because they said it was fine, paid for all by myself (i have quite a lot of money saved up), then the day before the flight, my mother said “if you take your car (4 hour drive to airport) I’ll report it stolen (though its in my name…which makes no logical sense). I suppose I’m just a bit scared that i’d disappoint them. How do i go about telling them that I AM going this winter vacation for about a week? I’m sure they’ll be disappointed, but any pointers on how to actually convince them? I mean i AM over the age of 18, i AM paying for everything..I just dont get it…

Time for a little family time. Get them to sit and listen while you talk. Tell them you appreciate their concern for you and your safety, BUT you are a person as well as a daughter and you intend to have your own life.
Tell them you are happy to stay home BUt if they try too hard to control you, it will result in you moving.
Tell them you love them BUT you will not always be the little girl and you are now a woman with her own life to live.
Try not to lose your temper but be firm and if necessary, move out. Do not back down or you will be controlled for the rest of their lives.

Oh yes, of course. There are cruise lines now that welcome even kids. But I also know that they have packages for your age. You just have to provide them with everything or document that they will require from you and you will be set.
But you will enjoy this cruise with your parents as well because they offer different set of activities and programs for the young travelers.

I would love to visit my roots…..everyone i know that visited Africa had a life changing experience. My problem is that i dont want to go alone as i hear that it is unsafe. I wanted to know if there was a site that had people who are interested to go and if so how do i get in touch with them? what parts of africa are the best parts to visit? what would be the estimated cost of the trip?

and I suggest that you visit your local library & take out
“travel to Africa book” and read all about the differences in
the African people’s culture from languages,religions,food,
and all kinds of warning from health issues & many other things.
Note : Have I said that,I think you should go only with a group
from your country in case you need help.”Africa is very large & remote”
especially for females is ill advice to go without a family members.

I think it depends on the company but the basic rule is 16 years old without an adult to go alone

it depends on ur appearance…..dont look to much like a stranger or you might be attacked.
for example in tanzania they dress different and their religion has a big impact on them. (islam)
do not go against their beliefs…respect their ideas, property, religion, people in general. try not to look to much like a tourist…YOU MIGHT BE ATTACKED!!!!!!!!! probably for ur money or race or other reasons.
besides why would u want to travel their alone??…..it is possible but i suggest you travel with a buddy or just pay a native to guide you
