Question: Going to San Antonio for anniversary, Needing suggestions on:?
A nice hotel, preferably close to, or within walking distance to the river walk. Also some suggestions of places to go, things to do. We may be there about 3 days, maybe longer depending on how much we find hotel stay for. Another idea may be bed and breakfast… i know it’s more expensive, but.. i dunno… ?

We usually stay at the Riverwalk Marriot and love it. All of the hotels along Riverwalk are nice. Here is a list along with some San Antonio attractions:

Question: San Antonio Hotels?
My hubby and I will be escaping to San Antonio this weekend. We want to know if the hotels on the Riverwalk are actually worth the cost ?

It depends on what you are planning to do while in the city. For a couple escaping, a nice dinner on the river at Boudro’s or one of the other nice restaurants can be very nice.
Even though I live in the city, when my wife and I go out for a nice night, we usually go out for dinner on the Riverwalk, then to a show at the Majestic, listen to some music or just take in the Rivercenter Comedy Club.
I think the Riverwalk area can be charming, and would recommend the downtown area, as there are many things to do, and restaurants in the area, and you can get to them by walking the river or taking the downtown trolleys.
But, if you are going to Sea World or Fiesta Texas, then you might want to stay in that area.

like to be near the sight seeing things but still a fun bed and breakfast type place near the

We would like to drive no more than 5 hours and would like to stay in a moderately priced hotel or bed & breakfast. We have been to all of the good beaches already. We are looking for anything from a quiet weekend to a family oriented adventure.

We’d like it to be in Texas as we will take a bigger vacation later on 2010. But in November, we’ll have 6 days for vacationing. I’m open to recommendations of bed & breakfast or a hotel near a lake or small town. Looking for romantic of course. Any ideas?

my ex and I stayed at a B&B in Marble falls. we had the whole top floor that included a walkout to the roof so we could over see on the balcony. we had a lot of fun just chasing each other as it had like 4 rooms and a few beds.
