We had a family trip to Peurto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta west of last year. I recommend Nuevo Vallarta. 40 minutes from downtown PV is also near the airport. We were in the Marival. I joined the site. Ideal for children. They have boogie boards to employ them. There is a games room and to use them for, up to 10 hours. Adults meet in the bar after the show dance with live music. Avoid the weekend that the hotel opens for the local population for a fee. It is very busy at the pool then. http://www.gomarival.com/home.aspx

Have you been “packed Maui vacation”?
And if so, where did you stay / You like it? What is included in the price … Flight, hotel, etc.? How can you get the air out of the harbor and back to the hotel when you check out … is that you include in the final cost? We never took a vacation packed and the specific need. I asked a question sat in Hawaii and it was very useful to stay on the island … Now I need more info from people who have a “packaged” travel taken. I looked. Com travel sites, but still need help. Thanks in advance.

Maui is beautiful and you will love it! We went a few times and always stayed in the town of Wailea. We were at the Fairmont key Lani, Four Seasons and we were on our honeymoon at the Grand Wailea. Have fun! If you have children, it is a great place. The pool is fantastic. Also on our honeymoon, we felt like kids in the pool. It was just heavenly! Rent a car in Maui. It is the only way to really see, to move the island. Otherwise you will spend a fortune on taxis! You can even drive your car to the airport. It’s like a breeze! On packages, depending on what it is usually all taxes, hotel and flight. In my opinion, never an all-inclusive. If you do, you miss so many restaurants fabuleux.Bon travel!

Hilton Head is a beach town so you can do the types of things there that you would expect to do in a beach area. There is a boardwalk with lots of restaurants, clubs, arcades, etc.

I have been thinking about visiting there for years. I was looking at cruises today, and wondered if anyone has ever been on a tour of the Galapagos. Would it be better to get a cruise and see all the islands, or to just stay on one island and take day trips to some of the close islands? And while I’m there, is there anything in Ecuador that I shouldn’t miss?

Yup! It’s one experience you shouldn’t miss. Apart from those animals featured in the Discovery channel, the flora and fauna is fantastic. Take the 4 to 5 day cruise. Usually there is are specials from June thru August. Approx.1,500 usd per person now. When we went there a couple of years ago, it was just 800 something. That was enough for us, my brothers grew bored easily were it not for the cruise ship’s amenities.

My husband and I are going there this weekend for our anniversary and there are so many options! We are 21 and 24, anyone have any tips? (For the record, we live in Chandler/Phoenix so we are familiar with the area, we aren’t tourists )

Welcome to Copenhagen. You’ll love it! The distance is exactly 3,5 kilometers and there is no need to get any tours to Tivoli.
A taxi will cost you the equivalent of 12 US$ for up to 4 persons. They will be all over at the quay. You can also use the public transportation, but it’s better to huddle four persons into a taxi; it will be cheaper than grabbing the bus+subway. (S-train).
Just ask for Tivoli. The driver wont cheat you. :o)

I haven’t because I consider them too expensive. I’m considering going on a Blue Danube River cruise, and I’ve been comparing prices. Grand Circle includes air fare, and with air fare it comes to about the same as Tauck’s cruise fare.
I’ve also talked to people who have gone on the river cruises. They have all gone with Grand Circle and were very pleased. I have been on many Grand Circle trips, and they’ve been excellent. It is possible that Tauck’s staterooms are larger. I would suggest that if you are over 50 years old, you look into Grand Circle. Incidentally, I have a friend, who in the past, always traveled with Tauck. After trying out Grand Circle, she made a switch.
