Anyone get that we are all in this together as far as being lib or con or even black or white?
4Question: Anyone get that we are all in this together as far as being lib or con or even black or white?
Racism is something that MOST (not all) black people are vigilant of. Believe me I know.
Look, I get that being a white person doesn’t automatically grant you with clean neighborhoods that have relatively low crime rates. Hell, if you talk to most black people from the really crappy neighborhoods they will tell you that they don’t blame anyone for wanting to move away from the kind of black people that litter, deal drugs, engage in violence and steal all the time. They wish they could move away from them too.
You see, it’s hard to talk the most deviant people out of committing crimes because they could really give a crap. Not that they are that selfish, they just have it in their heads that there is no way out of the crappy life they’ve known all their life. Most guys in gangs defy cops to shoot them dead b/c all the cop would be doing is ending their miserable lives.
You see, if you ever try and tell an obese person to eat right and exercise for their own good, all they would think to themselves is “if it were that easy for me to do so, I wouldn’t be obese”. Most criminals think the same way. They don’t like being criminals, they just don’t believe there is any real way to turn their life around. At the end of the day, we will pay more for our own health insurance for every obese person who is expensive to keep alive. We will also pay more in taxes to arm police forces and build prisons to keep the deviant elements of society away from our families. Problem is, we can’t pay enough. Soon the criminals will sell more drugs to kids in the suburbs and have an impact on culture one way or another.
In other words, the more you pretend that the hopeless in society are going to have to save themselves b/c no one else can do it for them, the more the hopeless and downtrodden may grow in numbers and become more harmful to you.
I’m not really making excuses for anyone (although some people will swear that I am). I just think every guy on the street corner is a potential cog or sprocket in the great American machine. Every drug dealer is a potential sales person or recruiter. Every goon is a potential soldier in the marine corp and every thief is a potential covert agent. And all of these people would do that stuff, if they saw a way to get there, but all they see is despair. I honestly am not preaching that the Federal government should be the ones to help them get there. Maybe it’s God or some business enterprise that profits from helping others. Perhaps it’s just one smart guy who figures out a way.
It makes me mad to sympathize with people that just do what they want and try to make life better for them. I just don’t know that deviant people are just like me, but simply do what they want.
I’m just saying that we can’t keep saying “those people” or as I put it, “the criminals”. Those people are potentially our kids. The criminals could have been us. Call me overly optimistic and even preachy, but I really do think that there is a way for the most conservative person in middle America can have their way and the inner city minority can have his way too. I think it’s all about mediating a solution to find what both parties want. I don’t think that solution is taking money from the con and giving it to some useless program. I also don’t think that it’s letting poor people sink or swim. But, I do think that as a prerequisite to find a solution, we first must realize that we’re all in the same boat. That we really are the same. I hear people say that we’re all the same in the eyes of God, but then only want their money to go to building prisons and the military. That makes no sense to me.
Anyone who read all of this, can I get your opinion?
ruth: These are your words: That culture needs to be changed, not protected and pandered to for votes.
I agree completely with them. Do you know anyone trying to change that culture? I know plenty of people pointing fingers, but I don’t know many people trying to change a culture.

Where you are wrong is that every drug dealer, every goon, and every other street thug who thinks victimizing people for their own personal gain is excusable for any reason is wrong and deserves to be locked up.
What do you think about the first daughters of Spain family vacation photo being shown?
5Question: What do you think about the first daughters of Spain family vacation photo being shown?
It seems kids are kids no matter where in the world you are. Can’t help but see they are just being themselves and their parents didn’t try to change that or alter it any by the vacation photo taken or weren’t thinking it would be broadcast online. Does it matter to see them as looking described as goth or does it show that they are just being teens? My daughter went to high school with a bunch of kids that looked that way even though she didn’t ever. It is a phase I feel, seeking attention. How that hurts their image as teens now I don’t see. I tend to see it makes them easy to relate to more in kids their age around the globe that may dress that way and be labeled as goth also. I can see a parent feeling embarrassed but then what teen doesn’t do that to the parent or reversed at some point in their growing up then?
If someone sees this as damaging, explain please. I feel the way their mom is dressed and that style of haircut is more disgusting to see there. I feel the press is really overlooking her lack of style and focusing on their look, although there are so many kids I see like that.
so this isn’t taken wrong,I didn’t ask to impose any judgement on them. I am asking to see what way others take that photo being shown now just.

I want to have mail sent to me in the US Virgin Islands. I’m taking my boat down and want to have my mail forwarded. The post office there won’t let me rent a mailbox because they say you have to be a resident to rent a mailbox.

Does Anybody have any information on being a Flight Nurse in the Air Force?
0Question: Does Anybody have any information on being a Flight Nurse in the Air Force?
I need to know information on training an also on becoming a flight nurse. If anybody is a flight nurse or knows somebody that is a flight nurse i would appreciate it if i could email back and forth to learn some of the things i need to know. This would be way easier than talking to a recruiter, because well…. we all know recruiters will say anything to get you to sign the contract. Thanks.

I did twenty-three years in Strat and Tactical aeromed so I guess I know a few flight nurses and a few things about aeromed. First you have to be a nurse and have at least two years of service as an Air Force nurse in order to apply for the flight nurse program if you are talking active duty. You also have to have passed a flight physical (except for the altitude chamber). If selected then they schedule you for the chamber and once you pass that you are then accepted into the program and go to tech school to become a flight nurse. You will by this time will have already been commissioned and in the Air Force for at least three years and it is very competitive and difficult to get into. More training follows when you get to your first active duty aeromed unit which includes ground school training, additional flight training and then your check rides and once you pass those you are a flight qualified flight nurse.
The Reserves because of the way it recruits and fills unit vacancies has a little bit different approach to this. If you have at least a three year BSN then you can be recruited directly into a position in an aeromed unit and once you pass your flight physical and chamber you then are scheduled and go to tech school (the same one but as a Reservist on active duty) and then when you finish that come back to your unit and attend ground school and all the rest and become a flight qualified flight nurse in the Air Force Reserve. Aeromed is the second highest active and deployed group in the Air Force Reserves with security forces carrying the highest chance of activation and deployment. Most aeromed in the Reserves are on active duty three to four times more than your average reservist because of the ops tempo, flight currency requirements and all the recurring training that is required. You may or may not want to consider the Reserve program if you already have your BSN or MSN and you would contact a Reserve recruiter for that.
For either the active program or Reserve program SERE school is required and at some point will also be scheduled along with some other types of specialized type training. It can be a rewarding and challenging career and most of the flight nurses I know love their job and the travel and challenges that come with it.
When being the lowest cost is not enough: Building a successful low-fare airline business model in Asia [An article from: Journal of Air Transport Management]
0This digital document is a journal article from Journal of Air Transport Management, published by Elsevier in . The article is delivered in HTML format and is available in your Amazon.com Media Library immediately after purchase. You can view it with any web browser.
Description:
Following the success of budget airlines in Australia, regulatory barriers were eased elsewhere in Asia Pacific to allow the proliferation of low-fare airlines (LFAs). The aim of this paper is to assess whether the profit and growth potential of Asian LFAs are hampered not just by remaining regulatory barriers but also by the embedded revenue and cost advantages of their full fare rivals. The LFAs business model can survive and succeed in Asia so long as these companies can ensure an even lower operating cost than their already cost-efficient full-service rivals. LFAs based in low-income countries with a relative lack of viable land transport infrastructure (e.g. Malaysia) are likely to achieve the greatest market stimulation.
