Question: Has anyone chartered a boat from the Moorings and sailed the St Lucia to Grenada route?
We chartered one boat from them and just sailed around St Lucia for a week and had a good time but was wondering about the 10 day trip. Thought we might get a catamaran on the longer trip.

Unfortunately, I have not, but then again, I’ve not been to St. Lucia nor Grenada.

Question: Tipping on a chartered fishing boat on Lake Michigan in Waukegan, IL.?
We are going on a 5 hour trip on a private charter – there will be myself, my husband, the captain of the boat and he said he would bring one other person along in order for my husband and I to use more fising poles. Our charter costs $ 520 for the 5 hour trip. Could anyone tell me if a captain expects to be tipped? I believe we should, but I don’t want to insult anyone. If so, what amount do you think would be fair…

If you are paying $ 520, that will cover the cost of the equipment, gas for the boat, and wear on the boat. You should pay the captain roughly 600-620 dollars all together.

Question: Where is a good place to go sailing in Dallas on a chartered sailboat?
My husband and I do not sail but love to go sailing on 2-4 hour chartered sailboat rides. We live in Dallas, TX. and would drive up to 1 hour. We would like to spend up to $ 200.00. Any suggestions?
