Question: I want to join Delta connection Academy Flight instructor course pls help……..?
Sir/Madam!
I decided to join delta connection academy for my flying training…
I have selected their exchange visitor program[fees About $ 72,000].
I will have to study for a year and then i can work as a paid flight instructor. They claim that as a fresh flight instructor at delta, i can expect $ 55,000[starting salary] a year and delta pass benefits….Is this true???
for me and my family…

That sounds too good to be true, but it is possible. It takes most people about 300 hours to get their instructor rating, and not a single person I went to flight school with did it in a year.
We did have two 18 year old instructors, but they had gotten alot of experience even before they could qualify to get their pilots license.
I think its safe to say you could get it in two years if its what you really like doing it. I didnt enjoy it so much so I only fly for myself now. The majority of pilots dont really enjoy it that much, most of the guys I know just gave up after their private. There are several dozen people who do that for every person who gets their commercial. Im pretty sure its something like 300 people out of 4000 end up getting their comercial.
Flying is not what people make it out to be, alot of people dont like it because there are a million rules and regs to remember. The flying itself is not challenging at all. I actually know guys who are happier working at KFC, and then I know some guys who just love flying. Its strange, you really have to do it to see if you like it.

Question: What’s the best connection to get from JFK to Los Cabos, Mexico?
There doesn’t seem to be direct flights except on Continental from Newark, NJ. What’s the best connection from JFK or LGA to get there? Is there spring break around April 11? The airfare seems to be higher that week as compared to April 25.

The most direct flight I’m finding from LaGuardia is through Houston, on Continental, which gives you a total travel time of seven and a half hours. American flies through Dallas/Ft. Worth.
Check out sidestep.com to see the details. This allows you to select multiple airports to compare, and then you can uncheck EWR to focus just on LGA and JFK.
And yes, flights are more expensive around spring break.
