Question: Private Helicopter License and the Pilot Industry Pros and Cons?
I want to get my private pilot’s license but I’m not too sure as to how competitive the helicopter industry is. I would like to know how competitive it is and what are the pros and cons of being a helicopter industry.
What are some pros and cons about being a commercial helicopter pilot?

Your private pilots license will only allow you to fly yourself and your friends and family. You cannot work as a pilot until you get your commercial rating. Even after you get your commercial you will be limited in what you can do until you have built up sufficient hours to seek employment.
There are always jobs available in the helicopter industry but the key is experience. You will have to have several thousand hours before you will be able to get a job besides being a flight instructor.

Hi, I’m Dr. Dean Gullberry from the University of Maryland medical program. I am a registered dermatologist, and I believe I can help. Also, I have been captain of the great Maryland U sailing team for 29 years this March. Now, call me ignorant, but I don’t think there is one con to taking part of a Sailing team. It builds leadership, team unity, character, and even boats. Even as a young boy, I sailed boats with my team in the great state of Montana on lake Walumpaumpack. Singing the Edmund Fitzgerald song with my lifelong friend, Edwin Thomas Gainsford-Schillpy. Well, until he went to prison. Listen, but the point is plain and simple–It’s just gosh darn (pardon my language) fun! Fun to do it even now, with my acute diabetes and jawthritis. It would especially be fun in high school because you are young, slender, and ready for working on the great seas. To answer your question plain and simple, I will say one thing – good luck out on the choppy waters. If I knew how to, i would make a smiley face at this point, but I’m not very technologically advanced. In fact, I just got on the facebook. Oh alright, I’ll try one just for you. (0.-) didn’t work out very well.

Do you mean Trip Insurance?
Its good if you anticipate issues with travel delays, illness or weather delays.
The downside is the cost and it may not be available for your destination.
