Question: Relative to other US airline carriers, what is Continental Airlines considered in terms of services and fare?
I am not very familiar with the airline industry. I am trying to map out the services and fares compared to the industry as a whole. Just looking at the major competitors here: Delta, Continental, Delta, American, US Airways, JetBlue, and Southwest. Any objective information, relative to the listed would be great.

Continental is tranditionally pared up for Biz travel so compared to other airlines Continental is high quality. The fares all depend on what region and the time of year they are competing for their customers. But typically and personally I would pay a little more just to fly Continental vs Delta or US air anyday. . <-- well it also depends on the aircraft but in most cases I stand with my statement.

Question: What year would make a Charter Bus be considered old?
I’m looking to charter a bus and wanted to get some idea of what I should look for, especially what constitutes a charter bus to be considered old? What year? What lack of amenities? What should I require the company to provide me to ensure we’re getting the best bus and deal?

Old means something different to each person so there is no answer. You should get a maintance sheet with a list of the maintance done to the Bus while in operation

Question: How much is considered a great salary at Clifford School in Guangzhou, China?
I have just received a contract from Clifford School in Guangzhou, China. My wife, baby and I are considering moving there. However, they are not showing us the pay schedule for the school. I know that many schools try to hide their salaries and add clauses that prevent their employees from talking about their salaries. This way they can offer as much or as little as they like . . . and it is usually as little. At any rate, assuming that they will pay for half of my health insurance, flight for my daughter and me–but not my wife, offer a free furnished apartment, a relocation allowance, a small bonus, paid vacations, utilities allowance, and a tax-free salary . . . what is considered great? I have mostly described the benefits, but I hear the salaries–the actual salaries–are very low compared to the tuition fees they charge the students. I don’t want to go there and get cheated. I have a master’s degree and about 7 years’ teaching experience. Does anyone know? Thanks! :-)

I’ve heard that you can expect 5,000 RMB or very likely higher for a Masters, and they do pay more for someone of European, or American origin…and it depends on the province
When you convert that to say USD it may seem like very little but the cost of living is so much lower

are evil because they took over South Africa? South Africa has relatively little sun and you do not get black skin if you are native to that place. That’s why the San people were brown not black like Zulus are.

Question: Is per dium considered wages on long term travel assignments when figuring wages for workers comp?
Trying to determine insurance amounts. Per dium is paid for ME&I while on assignment. I am hoping that Workers comp premium should only be charged on true wages. Does anyone know?
Note – employees are short term not perm. 3 month assignments.

Per Diem is considered WAGES unless it is expense reimbursement. Ask your employer’s payroll department how they are reporting it to the IRS.

I’m negotiating an agreement for extraordinary expenses. I’m the paying parent.
Child support is not a problem but for extraordinary expenses we can’t agree.
The child is 2 months old.
Comparing incomes, I must pay 82% and she 18%.
She will live in another country and take the baby with her.
She wants:
- A car, I must pay 100% of it and 82% of gas, insurance, repairs, etc.
- 100% childcare (I agree).
- 82% of any toys she’ll buy
- 100% for extra classes (piano, gim, etc).
- yearly vacations for the baby: 82% of tickets and extras. As the baby can’t travel alone, she is “forced” to go and claims 100% of her tickets and expenses.
- 100% health care. (In Canada the baby has my extended health & dental care, but not outside Canada).
- $500/month for tuition funds for baby’s post-secondary.
We never married, only lived together 6 months.
Can I fight any of these expenses? Are they fair considering she’s taking the baby so far I won’t be able to pay ticket to visit my baby?
