I need help finding a free or low cost dental clinic in the Dayton/Cincinnati area to pull a bad wisdom tooth?

Question: I need help finding a free or low cost dental clinic in the Dayton/Cincinnati area to pull a bad wisdom tooth?
I have a wisdom tooth that is rotten, causing me lots of pain. I think it may be spreading to other teeth. I have no dental insurance and cannot afford to get the problem fixed at a regular dentist/oral surgeon. Does anyone know of a free or low cost dental clinic, or a dentist/oral surgeon that would do the work for free? I am in the Dayton Ohio area, but can travel to Cincinnati if I need too. Please help!

You can purchase a dental discount plan to help with paying a regular dentist. The dental discount plans will discount the cost of service up to 60%. If you buy a plan today you can get service by 2-9-10. You can get a good plan for about $ 110 for the whole year. The major insurance companies sell these discount plans. To get an idea of how the plans works and instructions on how to go about getting a plan you can go to www.dentalATadiscount.com.

Hope this helps.

I’m hysterical..someone with dental expertise please help me with a problem/question?

Question: I’m hysterical..someone with dental expertise please help me with a problem/question?
I had a dental implant near my front teeth 2 away from center teeth..the tooth next to the implant had to be pull some time ago…

I was just eating and then I noticed my implant was gone so I think I swallowed it,

Without this tooth having two missing teeth looks horrible…I am embarrassed to go out. I( am very poor.\
my question is..if I am able to find the tooth, might it be fixable. No post is sticking out of my mouth..a long time ago it fell at as it was considered a failure as it was initially loose in an experimental program that had a higher rate of success at the time..I have had it for 22 years.

When it fell out before I did not swallow it and I cannot remember if a post was sticking out of my gums or the tooth but I do know they pounded it back into my bone and it was ok for many years. This is my question if nothing is sticking out of my gums and I can retrieve the tooth. might it still be fixable.

if not, can they make another one..what needs to be OK the bone post sticking out of the bone..if that is ok can they make another tooth and post and how much might that cost..I have had bone loss and gum loss and some of the metal showed about the tooth when it was on there..I noticed earlier today that it felt odd like kind of feeling it was more forward in my mouth put thought it must be because I have severe bruxism and lost my mouth guard and can’t afford one and I was pushing the implant more forward in my mouth…

On top of it, it feels very uncomfortable without it like my lips is being cut and hitting my other tooth because the implant was more forward than the other teeth and held my lip away from the tooth next to it so it hurts to talk and even just sit here quiet.

I cannot get it fixed at the cheap college school of dentistry as once for another dental matter, I had a cheap, undependable car and it broke on my way there causing me t be late or miss appointments a few times and the guy banned me for life from going there that is where I initially got the implant..my dentist does not do this nor my insurance cover it..a partial was unsuccessful in the past so I have no options but the implant (or pulling all my teeth and getting dentures which I do no want. I do not even know where to go fro help. I do have a small amount of money from when my mom recently died but the bulk went for a serious car accident I was in recently that I only had liability on..please help so much is happening I am flashing suicidal thoughts..I need to know

1. if I find the tooth, is it likely repairable ..that is, if the post is still in my bone

2. how long do I have before the hoe the tooth was in (where the post was heals to get it back in there)

3. if the tooth is lost for good and the post is still in there, how much does it cost to make a new tooth and post about

4. if I have lost gum and bone since it was done will they make me a new tooth if the post is still screwed in my bone

thanks
yay..I just retrieved it and it seems ok

As gross as it sounds, check your stool for your tooth. If you find it, the tooth is re-usable, there is likely to be no effect from your digestive track to the tooth, it should be perfectly fine.

Even if the hole heals over, it takes only seconds to open it up again, it won’t be a problem at all.

The cost depends on the area you live in, for my Zip code it is about $ 1,500, some of it is covered by insurance, I think about half of it.

The post is cheap compared to the tooth. The dentist buys them in standard sizes. It doesn’t really matter if you have the post or not.

However you need to be concerned that you lost your post and have a hole in the bone, an infection of the bone is nothing to be taken lightly as there is a very small chance it can be lethal if untreated.

I suggest you see a dentist right away to get the hole checked, and keep looking for your tooth in your stool.

Can I sue the dental office for disrespectful treatment?

4

Question: Can I sue the dental office for disrespectful treatment?
Today, I went to a dental office in California for a dentist appointment.
The office I go to is in a different city(2 hours driving) because my insurance plan has no offices in my city that do the benefits I am looking for. And because I didn’t want to change my insurance plan as it saves a lot of money on me, more than any other plan.
In today’s appointment the office staff went through the choices I have for each treatment. I chose the basic service of each one because I don’t have money for the other expensive ones. The dentist kinda didn’t like it but she approved my choices as its my right. Then she said I will be back in a min. And when she came back she told me that she discussed it with the practice owner(another dentist) and they decided that “my medical needs are beyond the scope of their office”! AND that she reject to do, with me, any of the treatments I need which they normally provide.

I was so upset, because I felt insulted and humiliated by such behavior just because I can’t afford their expensive treatments. Not mentioning the work hours I took off to come to the appointment or the gas cost I paid to my friend for the ride he gave me(I don’t have a car). I can’t describe the frustration and anger they caused in me. And I believe also they took advantage of me because I am not American (I am an international student).
Is there something I can do about that?! .. because I don’t know the rules in this country USA but what I know for sure that they have no single right to treat me like this x(

Thank you

Actually, they do have a right to treat you like that. Freedom of speech.

Your right on the other hand, is to spread the word that you don’t think that business is very trustworthy. Free enterprise will take care of the rest, and if you’re lucky, they may lose quite a bit of business over it.

You can’t sue, however, unfortunately, because nothing they did was unlawful.

Also, note that most business do not want to cost themselves customers. They probably weren’t trying to be hurtful by saying that to you. They want the patronage as much as you want their service, but they simply cannot provide it.

The Sunshine Dental Whitening System USA is a two-piece set that includes both the true stain removal and bleaching offers – and therefore it is clinically proven to achieve sustainable results without sensitive teeth associated with peroxide. The system offers exactly the same results as the laser bleaching, but works even better because its formula with a detergent for cleaning removes stains and pre-treated teeth whitening gel from non-peroxide facilitate the white enamel.

dental liability insurance

supplementaldental.org My husband’s employer does not provide him with dental insurance. I am a stay at home and do not have an employer to get dental insurance through. We have two young children and the health and well being of their teeth is very important to us. Accordingly, I am looking for full coverage dental. Our son has a cross bite, and our daughter has some staining on her teeth. The out of pocket expenses to have these things taken care of will be very expensive. So, I am searching on the Internet for something that will cover not only our twice a year cleanings and check ups but also additional dental work.

Can someone explain this dental insurance statement for me?

1

Question: Can someone explain this dental insurance statement for me?
I don’t really know what the actual paper’s called, but it’s kinda like a statement. Here’s what it says:

Your doctor is billing a total of $ 3,500.00 for a 30 month treatment plan. The United Concordia allowance is $ 3,500.00. Deducted from this allowance are:

Prior Treatment Costs: $ 625.00
Coinsurance/Patient Liability: $ 1,050.00
Amount Exceeding Dental Contract Maximum: $ 1,200.00
Total Available Prgram Benefits: $ 625.00
Total Remaining Program Benefits: $ 625.00

Over the course of treatment 0 quarterly payments of $ 0.00, and a final payment of $ 625.00 will be issued. TDP orthodontic quarterly payments are automated; therefore, it is not necessary to submit claims for subsequent quarterly payments.

Can someone please explain this to me? Does the insurance cover the entire treatment, or do I still have to pay the rest of the treatment?

Thanks

Best answer:

Answer by cridler
To boil this all down the insurance company has paid $ 625 and will pay another $ 625 at the end of the treatment. You are responsible for the rest.

The total orthodontic benefit is $ 1200 and you are responsible for the rest. This is pretty standard for dental insurance which I have found to be not worth the money unless the employer pays a big chunk of the cost.

Best health and dental insurance for students in California?

3

Question: Best health and dental insurance for students in California?
I’ve never purchased insurance before. I’m a 20 year old female. Currently my wisdom teeth are impacted and that has caused a few other dental issues. The wisdom teeth extraction procedure costs much more than I can afford and other dental work on top of that needs to be done. My school offers an insurance plan only for the international students. I would like to find the best dental and health insurance plan for the most reasonable price. If anyone has any suggestions. Other than the problems with my teeth I’m a healthy, non-smoking, active young woman with no pre-existing medical conditions. Thanks!

That’s like asking for car insurance that covers your house.

It doesn’t work that way.

Dental is ALWAYS a seperate policy. And I haven’t seen any private dental policies that pay out more than they take in.
