If it take time for the family on vacation, most of us only think always a hotel room. Of course we could also consider a tent, caravan or camping trip, and know maybe even a beach house, but how many of us that we have more options for a place to sleep during the holidays?

Experience Campground

My father knew hotels of course, but he would never be considered unnecessary money. Until I was twelve, we slept in a tent when we went on vacation. Three years later, we were caught in massive showers while we were camping. Our tent – although very nice – leak when it rained. Three consecutive holidays, we had to pack and leave in the middle of the night, after we woke up to find ourselves in an inch of water in our tent.

My mother had a big influence on my father … in a strange way. After three years, was ruined vacation, your foot down. She told him that we never spend our holidays in a tent again. She got her way, but not in the way it should, too. She won the argument, we have never spent our holidays in a tent. But Dad has his and we never money for a hotel room, but we spent the holiday in our home. When I was twelve, we never had a family holiday.

Well, it’s almost right. When I was sixteen years old, Dad bought one of these pop-up camper. When I was sixteen years old, we took a family vacation and stayed in the pop-up camper trailer. But you know … It was raining and the campers to leak. So that the final end of our vacation was family.

Experience Hotel

As an adult I do not have the same kind of scruples that my father had to hotels. When my wife and I went to Las Vegas for our honeymoon, we stayed at the Stratosphere Hotel. From our overpriced hotel room, our window we see over and … the concrete wall at the base of the tower. It was great.

After our children were born, they took two holidays in San Antonio, where we stayed with my aunt and uncle. But the descent was very long, so we took a hotel room in transit. We get a room for a night on the way to San Antonio, and we took a room on the way home.

We got on well with the hotel of our trip until we stayed at the Best Western for one night. All went well until we went to check. Imagine the shock and anger when we see that the hotel had a PlayStation in our room and our four and six years provided increased realized, in the middle of the night for playing video games. Our hotel room cost us $ 0 OMG I was pissed!

House experience

I must say that when I finally found vacation rentals, I had a lot of fun. If I happen to 0 per night, you can not just the experience of the rental.

It is a house to rent in the same way for a hotel room, rent with one big exception. Think about visiting your girlfriend, and then think the most beautiful house. A house is usually more beautiful than the houses of all my friends and family.

House prices vary widely depending on location, size and properties. But I managed to a certain number of vacation rentals for as little as 5 per night to rent. What was extraordinary about this is that the rental of vacation homes fully equipped kitchens in the house to have a complete set of dishes for cooking and eating. While we were in a distant goal, we did not, all meals in a restaurant. This advantage of a more than offset the additional costs of renting the cottage. The Bed and Breakfast and experience

Bed and Breakfast (B & B) are ideal for a good life, but they are not always suitable for children to bring to your holiday.

A friend of my wife we had talked about a bed and breakfast that she had visited with her husband. She spoke about the experiences of someone who cooks for you and spoil you forever. Friend of my wife enjoys the experience of B & B so much that she and her husband to visit as often as possible, even if it is just over the city.

Friend of my wife said, the experience so much that my wife insisted that we needed a babysitter for our children for the weekend so that we are the Bed and Breakfast to deliver related experience. We did, and it was really pleasant, relaxing and memorable.

We checked into the B & B on Friday night and spent the weekend there. Friday night, we slipped into the spa for an evening of refreshing bubbles. With bubble bath, we enjoyed the champagne in our beverages.

Saturday morning we rose early to ride. Unlike the first time I rode a horse, he was a good time. The first time I rode a horse, the horse would only stop along the beach and go snack on the lawn without me as I told him. After the guy horse back and got my horse moved twice he finally broke down and turned on horses with me. The change of horses can not solve the problem. Somehow, the two horses would know I never been on a horse, and they took advantage of me.

But when my wife and I made the weekend B & B, we have the horse on Saturday morning, and my horse did together and what to do … God, I thank you.

one of the best I’ve eaten in my life – for lunch we were treated to a special meal. Then we took a dip in the pool during the afternoon, then took a short nap. At dinner we were treated to a candlelit dinner in our room. We returned to the Spa on Saturday night, then in our room for a night we will never forget.

We spent a comfortable night in bed Sunday, before the afternoon. After leaving the B & B we have a relaxed drive home slowly, and then took the children home babysitter. “

It was a nice change from the ordinary.

The overall holiday experience

I learned some very important lessons in the last ten years:

* I’ve learned that we do not have a tent or RV experience and experience the frustration that my parents lived a family holiday.

* I’ve learned that hotels are not really all they are cracked up to be and offer a lot of ugly surprises.

* Having the chance to rent vacation homes, I learned that if I wanted more than just spend a night, far away from home with the children, then to make a vacation our vacation much more pleasant and enjoyable.

* After the chance of renting a guest suite for the weekend, I’ve learned that when my wife and I to leave the children for a weekend, we would like crazy on the way our weekend at the B & B our choice to pass to spend.

In the constant struggle to find the holiday accommodation, many people see the best and worst that can happen during a family holiday. My parents have tried for years to create memorable family vacation fought, and it was the wrong way.

Unfortunately, the holidays often create abnormally high levels of stress when you try alleged to relax. Consequently, many families often prefer to stay at home when the time comes for holidays.
