Reckless Driving?

Would anyone know what the odds are of knocking down a reckless driving ticket to something less offensive? The police officer was VERY mad at me, and I am guilty, but I have a good lawyer. I’ve only had one speeding ticket in my 15 years of driving. I heard you can even go to jail for this reckless driving issue…….

Question: Can anyone give me some weekend getaway ideas within driving distance from Louisville, KY?
When I lived in ATL, I could drive anywhere for the weekend, Savannah was about 3 hours away, New Orleans was about 5 hours… Nashville was close… there were tons of places to go! But now, I’m stuck. I’m tired of driving to Indy and Cinncinati. What else is there? I don’t want to go camping… any ideas?

I’ve never been here, but my sister absolutely loves Nashville, Indiana. Quaint shops, and it looks GORGEOUS in the fall, so I’ll bet it’s pretty any time. Looks like it’s just a few hours from you.

Question: What is the shortest and safest route driving from Chicago to Sedona, Arizona for a woman?
I am planning a drive to Sedona before year-end. I have tried mapping routes through various websites, but they all seem to be more work than necessary. Looking at an Interstate map of the U.S., it seems that I could just take 55S to 44W (in Missouri), take that to 40W (in Oklahoma) and just take that straight west through Texas, New Mexico and than Arizona. I assume hotels/motels would be available throughout if I needed to stop for the night. Has anyone driven from Chicago to Sedona? If so, what route did you follow? Did you pay any tolls? If so, how many? I am a female planning to go alone so a safe route to follow is a must! Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks to all.

Question: Can i use my Playstation 2 Driving Force Wheel on my computer?
I have a Sony Playstation 2 Driving Force Wheel and i want to know if i can use it on my computer. I’ve seen similar wheels for the PC and they both connect with a USB cable so, in my uneducated mind, they are pretty much the same thing. Is there a place where i can get drivers to make it work on my computer?

Question: Planning a driving trip to Idaho & Jackson Hole Wyoming in Fall. Tips/suggestions?
4 adults are planning our trip to Idaho & Jackson Hole Wyoming in Sept ’10. We’ll fly into Boise, then drive to Sun Valley then Jackson Hole then Coeur d Alene & return through McCall back to Boise.
We’re seeking the best scenic drives for fall foliage. Any & all suggestions will be appreciated from scenic routes to lodging & good eating places in Idaho. Thanks.

I am assuming you never been out west. There is no fall foliage here. The trees are evergreens. Meaning they do not change colors in the fall. You may find a stand of Aspens with bright yellow leaves in among the evergreens but not many. Idaho, Wyoming, Montana are states that are high in elevation and very rocky soil. Maples, oaks and other hardwoods can’t survive here and do not live here. So there are no foliage routes. You will see many evergreens, huge mountains of rock, boulders the size of large buildings, and pristine clean, clear water, but no fall foliage.
Also, September it starts getting very cold at night again up by the Tetons so bring coats if you are planning on be outside after dark to see the beautiful stars. Since you are going as far as Jackson Hole do yourself a favor and go through Yellowstone National park while you are there, that is where some of the most beautiful places are anyhow. Unless you are going to Coeur d’ Alene to visit family I would not make much of a fuss if you miss it. The lake is pretty but not worth the extra 6 hours of driving.
