Today, the Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF) gave details of the upcoming 39th Hong Kong Arts Festival 2011 will be held in 15 different venues over 39 days – from 17 February – 27 March 2011 – with over 200 shows and theater performances and events with 38 units or solo artists from abroad and 16 from Hong Kong

“This is a celebration even bigger than in previous years, with a significant increase in the total number of tickets to the Arts Festival and the public the number of shows that are presented. There is also an increase in the duration of the festival. Stars make their debut in Hong Kong are Cecilia Bartoli, the New York City Ballet, the Berlin Ensemble, Elvis Costello, Marianne Faithfull;

started “New Stage” series, a new initiative in local productions this year to extend support to the commitment of the Festival of the Arts local talent;

MUSIC

DANCE

Two of the most renowned and revolutionary ensembles in the world Festival of the Arts. Over five days and seven performances of the New York City Ballet is a selection of works by Balanchine and Robbins, Serenade in Dances at a Gathering, West Side Story Suite, Concerto DSCH by Alexei Ratmansky. Theatre and music theater
