Question: Is it better to visit Park City, Utah in December or February for a ski/snowboarding trip?
A family friend just moved out to Salt Lake City and have invited us to visit anytime we want. I have school breaks at Christmas time and late February, and was wondering which time is a better time, factoring in ski conditions/weather, general airfare prices from NYC, and crowds. Also which are the best places to ski/board, as some of the family skis, and other snowboard.

You would be better off to come in Feb. Christmas is always busy. The snow is deeper in February, and there are fewer people on the mountains because they are getting sick of winter by then.
Brighton is great if you want to ski and board. The Canyons is great as well. If you want a smaller non tourist type resort try Beaver Mountain near Logan. It is smaller, but not very much $ $ $ and never crowded

Question: Affordable, fun family vacations for February break?
This year for winter break, I don’t wanna be isolated indoors while everyone else ditches my boring home town to go tubing or at some fun resort. My brother and sister are off to college, and it’s just me, my mom, and my dad right now. We need someplace where we can getaway, and just sit back and relax, but at an affordable price (my dad lost his job) and it needs to be within the United States. Somewhere around New York. We want to stay at a hotel and do something fun like sledding and we just want to get away from here! Any ideas?

Well, i Don’t really know. All the fun places i know for sledding and stuff is near a big mountain. Go Find one.

Question: skiing in breckenridge around mid february?
i’m staying in a lodge for 2 nights starting on the 13th of february. can anyone tell me how the skiing is? is there a good bit of snow up there? this is my first time going to breckenridge, so i dont really know what to expect around this time of year. (and i checked the weather for the next week; its supposed to snow for 5 days straight) also, how low might the temperatures get? im only asking because all the websites ive been checking tell me different things.

I can’t help with the snow predictions as I have only been to Copper this year (and there was very little snow and it was not so much fun) but I was in Breck at night at it was FREEZING. I don’t know exactly how cold, but bone chilling is the word I would use to describe it! BUUUURRRRR!

I’m sorry I don’t know the answer to your question, but I do suggest that since you obviously have internet access that you do a bit of research on the internet! Go to official web sites for the two countries and look for links to average temperatures and climate. You can also go to the major weather-related web sites. I do this sort of thing frequently, and always get reliable information.
