Question: Can i use my Playstation 2 Driving Force Wheel on my computer?
I have a Sony Playstation 2 Driving Force Wheel and i want to know if i can use it on my computer. I’ve seen similar wheels for the PC and they both connect with a USB cable so, in my uneducated mind, they are pretty much the same thing. Is there a place where i can get drivers to make it work on my computer?

Question: Navy Vs. Air Force for Married Woman with 2 Children?
My husband has a good career that can travel anywhere in the U.S. I am currently looking to go into the Military for the many benefits (educational, steady pay check, health/life insurance, travel etc.). This is a decision that my husband and I made together, he is very supportive of this. I am just not sure which branch is “better” for someone with a family (Air Force or Navy?).
Before anyone says anything, YES I KNOW THAT I WILL GET DEPLOYED. I will not be like the women who get pregnant just to avoid a deployment. I have 2 beautiful sons and I don’t plan on having anymore children (We are taking precautions -i.e. the pill- to avoid an unplanned pregnancy). We are not looking forward to me deploying but we have accepted it and we have things in place for my husband and children for when it happens. Also, please don’t judge me for being a Mother and going into the Military. This does not make me a bad Mother or Wife. We are doing what needs to be done to secure a better future for our children. My children are happy, safe, healthy and they know that they are loved.
Now…as for what kind of job I’d like in the Military. I’m not really sure. I’d like something that will transfer easily into a civilian job incase I decide not to reenlist after 4 years. I don’t want to go into a career in law enforcement but here are some things that interest me: Finance, Medical, Foreign Languages etc.
Any advice, ideas, suggestions?

To those who believe I need a waiver for having 3 dependants, I think you may be mistaken. I’m in the process of going to MEPs for my ASVAB and Physical and they have not mentioned anything about this. I’ll ask about it though.
USAFBRAT64: What will happen if we deploy overseas? We are not sure. We can’t plan 100% for everything, all we can do is plan as much as we can. If we end up going overseas and my husband’s career can’t transfer over there, we will cross that bridge when we get there. But yes, to answer your question we have also discussed this as being a very real possibility. He would probably use that time to take some college courses.

Definately Air Force. I was in it. I am in the Army now. The Air Force is definately family friendly. You also get treated so much better in the Air Force. As for the Navy I have several gal friends that are in, and they are shipped away for several months then come back for a month or a week. Then they leave again.

Question: Does Anybody have any information on being a Flight Nurse in the Air Force?
I need to know information on training an also on becoming a flight nurse. If anybody is a flight nurse or knows somebody that is a flight nurse i would appreciate it if i could email back and forth to learn some of the things i need to know. This would be way easier than talking to a recruiter, because well…. we all know recruiters will say anything to get you to sign the contract. Thanks.

I did twenty-three years in Strat and Tactical aeromed so I guess I know a few flight nurses and a few things about aeromed. First you have to be a nurse and have at least two years of service as an Air Force nurse in order to apply for the flight nurse program if you are talking active duty. You also have to have passed a flight physical (except for the altitude chamber). If selected then they schedule you for the chamber and once you pass that you are then accepted into the program and go to tech school to become a flight nurse. You will by this time will have already been commissioned and in the Air Force for at least three years and it is very competitive and difficult to get into. More training follows when you get to your first active duty aeromed unit which includes ground school training, additional flight training and then your check rides and once you pass those you are a flight qualified flight nurse.
The Reserves because of the way it recruits and fills unit vacancies has a little bit different approach to this. If you have at least a three year BSN then you can be recruited directly into a position in an aeromed unit and once you pass your flight physical and chamber you then are scheduled and go to tech school (the same one but as a Reservist on active duty) and then when you finish that come back to your unit and attend ground school and all the rest and become a flight qualified flight nurse in the Air Force Reserve. Aeromed is the second highest active and deployed group in the Air Force Reserves with security forces carrying the highest chance of activation and deployment. Most aeromed in the Reserves are on active duty three to four times more than your average reservist because of the ops tempo, flight currency requirements and all the recurring training that is required. You may or may not want to consider the Reserve program if you already have your BSN or MSN and you would contact a Reserve recruiter for that.
For either the active program or Reserve program SERE school is required and at some point will also be scheduled along with some other types of specialized type training. It can be a rewarding and challenging career and most of the flight nurses I know love their job and the travel and challenges that come with it.

I want to fly helicopters for the air force and I plan on going through the ROTC program. Do I have to pay for the flight training in college? I heard you have to pay for your pilots license and plight hours. Is this true?

Slow down!!! The Air Force does not have helicopters. You don’t have to pay. The U.S. Army has helicopters, you still don’t have to pay, you can become a pilot straight out of high school. You don’t have to pay for a license. All you have to do is go to the recruiter in your town, tell him you want to be a helicopter pilot, and to send you to Fort Rucker, Alabama (Motherrucker). Users report high satisfaction with their car insurance in the past year, and they consider Allstate and State Farm Geico that most reputable providers of auto insurance. These and other findings were revealed in a recent study by Market Force Information, a global leader in customer information solutions and customer management experience study.

Question: Aero-medical Evacuation in the Air Force Reserve?
Hello – I am considering joining the Air Force Reserve and going for the Aeromedical Evacuation field. I can’t seem to find many first hand accounts and am looking for opinions from those who’ve done it.
I don’t have prior service and live in Fort Worth, TX, so I assume my weekend drilling would take place in San Antonio – the nearest base that performs that mission.
Eventually I would like to get out of this god-forsaken mortgage banking industry of sitting at a desk all day creating reports for empty suits and gain experience in the medical field and transition into a nurse or paramedic position.
Please save the “Ask a recruiter” answers. I did email a recruiter and all I got was a blanket response.
Any other advice for a married 27 year-old with 3 kids considering joining the reserve is welcome as well.

Well without significant further education.
The job does not transition into being a nurse or paramedic.
Nurses need 4 year nursing degrees.
Paramedics need specific training.
The military only trains to the EMT level.
EMT’s average $ 11.00 an hour nation wide for pay.
But yes, if you completed your BSN in nursing,
Your experience in Aero-medical Evacuation , would help you get a civilian job as a Flight nurse.
